This shows that the accumulation of merit and wisdom, which are the causes for attaining unsurpassed enlightenment, can also be accomplished. Furthermore, possessing the five superknowledges, comprehending and remembering the objects of the three times, and considering not wasting one's own roots of virtue as being skilled in the three times, it is said that one who is skilled in superknowledge, etc., is also mentioned. Is possessing superknowledge being skilled in superknowledge? Or, knowing and remembering objects through superknowledge, the superknowledge that does not waste the roots of virtue that have been done, remembering the past time, that is, with the superknowledge of remembering previous lives, not forgetting what non-virtue was done and what virtue was done in the past time is remembering the past time. Not only that, but remembering the roots of virtue that were previously generated and completely dedicating them to enlightenment is called being skilled in the past time. What is called fully knowing the generation of virtuous thoughts in the future is also connected here with the superknowledge of remembering previous lives and the superknowledge of knowing death and birth, knowing and seeing the virtuous thoughts that will arise in the future. After generating the mind of enlightenment in the future, from the causes of virtuous roots of non-attachment, non-hatred, and non-ignorance, knowing that generosity and discipline, etc., will definitely arise, this is called fully knowing the virtuous thoughts that will arise in the future. Having known this, also in the present moment, perfecting those virtues, thinking and hoping in the mind that they will become the accumulation of unsurpassed enlightenment, this is what makes the aspiration completely fulfilled. Being skilled in the present time also has three aspects: not being inverted, not declining, and the result not changing. Among them, contemplating the roots of virtue that have arisen and occurred in the present time shows non-inversion, and for the roots of virtue that have arisen,

It is for the sake of attention. The so-called "abiding" means showing non-decline, in order to make the roots of virtue arise and appear, and to make them increasingly prosperous. The so-called "dedication to Bodhi" means showing that the fruit does not turn into other things. When it appears like this, those who have done good deeds and abide do not dedicate themselves to obtaining the fruits of gods and dragons, but to obtaining unsurpassed Bodhi. It is believed that making sentient beings mature with the accumulation of merit done in the three times is to understand the three times, so it is said, "Other than that, all for the sake of maturing all sentient beings," and so on. The so-called "all sentient beings" includes the individuals with the five lineages, and preventing their respective vehicles and the good destinies of gods and humans is to make them mature. The so-called "for" is for that. The so-called "remembering the accumulation of past merits" means remembering that one has done this and that good deed before, and not forgetting the accumulation of merits such as generosity and discipline is remembering. The so-called "whatever sentient beings mature and do, all mature in the same way" is not only remembering the merits done before, but also by the power of those merits, how many sentient beings mature, all mature in the same way, which is the general saying. The so-called "whatever sentient beings in the future are made to mature by pleasing the Buddha, all mature in the same way" means making sentient beings in the future mature by pleasing the Buddha, that is, whatever sentient beings in the future are made to mature by pleasing the Buddha. This means going to the Tathagatas to listen to the Dharma, practice contemplation and meditation, and make offerings to please the Buddha. Depending on it, how many sentient beings exist, and how to make them mature, they will mature in the same way.

To teach the Dharma to sentient beings, or to ripen them through the miracle of magical power, all of these likewise ripen them, that is to say. Combine the word "miracle" with both, that is, combine it as "the miracle of teaching the Dharma" and "the miracle of magical power." Among them, the miracle of teaching the Dharma is also of two kinds: the miracle of universal declaration and the miracle of subsequent declaration. Among them, the miracle of universal declaration is to name the realms, nature, and latent tendencies of sentient beings, and to declare them truthfully to them. The miracle of subsequent declaration is to teach those to-be-tamed beings in this way, leading them into the teachings, explaining the Four Noble Truths, such as "This is the truth of suffering, this is the truth of origin, this is the truth of cessation, this is the truth of the path." The miracle of magical power is to possess five kinds of mastery, namely: being able to transform from one to many, being able to transform from many to one, being able to appear and disappear at will, hence being master of transformation; being able to pass through walls, being able to pass through mountains, etc., hence being master of going; being able to manifest in the sky, performing the four postures, being able to walk on water without sinking, as if walking on land, hence being master of abiding; abiding in the human realm, yet belonging to the realm of the gods; being able to touch and rub with the hand the sun and moon, which are so magically powerful, so mighty, and so radiant, hence being master of the body; even up to the Brahma realm of the Form Realm, being able to exercise bodily control over sentient beings, hence being master of special realms. Thus, subduing the sentient beings to be tamed by possessing the five kinds of mastery is the miracle of magical power. Now, some sentient beings need to be ripened by the miracle of teaching the Dharma, and some sentient beings need to be ripened by the miracle of magical power. Therefore, whatever sentient being the Bodhisattva ripens with whatever miracle, that sentient being is ripened by that miracle. Therefore, all those sentient beings who need to be ripened are likewise ripened.
