It is to be done. Other meanings are easy, so they are not explained. With the wisdom of wisdom and means, to comprehend the things that exist in the three times as they are, without reversing them, is to be skilled in the three times, and it is explained with this in mind. In addition, it is said, "To have faith in the emptiness of the dharmas of the past time," and so on. For the dharmas of the past time, the aggregates, the sources, etc., to believe that they do not exist as entities of persons and dharmas is to have faith in the emptiness of the dharmas of the past time. The rest is also applied in the same way. Other words are easy, so they are not explained. Also, to realize that the dharmas of the three times do not transfer, do not arise, and do not abide is to be skilled in the three times, and it is explained with this in mind. In addition, it is said, "In the past time," and so on. In the past time, the dharmas that have been exhausted are not regarded as transferred to the later limit, which means that the previous dharmas that have been exhausted are exhausted by their own nature and are not connected with the later dharmas. One does not abandon diligence in manifesting virtuous deeds, which means that even though one does not transfer in the ultimate sense, one believes in karma and its result. If one knows that the previous cause can produce the later result, then one does not abandon diligence in practicing virtue. One does not manifest non-virtuous deeds, which means that even though there is no entity, because it does not transfer from the previous to the later, one does not regard it as having no ripening result of non-virtuous deeds, therefore one does not manifest non-virtuous deeds. For the dharmas of the future time, to realize that they do not arise and do not cease, and also not to abandon the diligence of dedicating to enlightenment, which means that in the ultimate sense, one realizes that the enlightenment itself to be attained in the future time does not arise and does not cease, but one does not regard it as non-existent in the conventional sense, therefore one does not abandon the diligence of dedicating to enlightenment. In the present time, to realize that the dharmas do not remain and do not abide, the bodhisattva has a special intention and is very firm, and will not forget the mind of enlightenment, which means that in the ultimate sense, the dharmas of the present time do not abide, therefore the mind of enlightenment itself does not abide. For the mind of enlightenment to arise ignorance or forgetfulness, the bodhisattva

The bodhisattva's superior intention is extremely firm, which means that in all activities, one does not forget the mind of enlightenment. Furthermore, intending to show other names for being skilled in the three times, it is said, "Moreover, that which has passed is exhausted," and so on. The past dharmas are called exhausted because they have ceased together with their causes and effects. The future dharmas are called "when will they come" because they have not yet come with their causes and effects. The dharmas that arise in the present cease immediately after the cause produces the effect, so they are without abiding. Having thus shown the characteristics of the three times, in order to show the one who is skilled in them, it is said, "Whatever thus arises from mind and mental factors," and so on. Combining the word "discern" with each one, discernment is combined with those minds and mental factors that have arisen, discernment is combined with those minds and mental factors that have ceased, and discernment is combined with those minds and mental factors that have vanished. Among them, the present minds and mental factors produce the effect from the cause, and having produced it, they cease immediately together with the cause and effect, so discerning that there is no entity is called discerning those minds and mental factors that have arisen. The past minds and mental factors, together with the cause, have ceased in their effect, so discerning that there is no entity is called combining discernment with those minds and mental factors that have ceased. The future minds and mental factors, together with the cause, have not yet produced the effect, so discerning that there is no entity is called combining discernment with those that have vanished. Thus, if the entities of the three times are truly without entity, do not think that because the collections of virtue are also without entity, the two accumulations will not be accomplished. Therefore, it is said that the roots of virtue for accomplishing enlightenment are also truly accomplished, meaning that the nature of the accumulation that accomplishes enlightenment, the root of virtue, is the root of virtue that accomplishes enlightenment, which is also the nature of the accumulation of merit and wisdom. That is to say, in the ultimate truth, the entities of the three times are also without inherent existence, but in the conventional truth, however one acts, in that way, it is not without result. Therefore,
