The wisdom that knows without obscuration the objects to be severed, and the means of generating wisdom, are taught in this sutra. Wisdom is that which can distinguish the own characteristics of all dharmas. Jñana (Sanskrit: jñāna, wisdom) is that which realizes the general characteristics of the dharmas distinguished by wisdom. That which is called "the teaching of the jñana of the means that is skilled in the dedication that is boundless and incomparable" is because this sutra has taught the means of being skilled in dedicating all virtuous deeds to unsurpassed enlightenment, that is, the transformation of the jñana that is boundless and incomparable. That which is called "following the jñana of the equality of all the Buddha's dharmas" is because this sutra has taught that all the Buddha's dharmas, such as powers and fearlessnesses, are transformed into jñana that understands that they are of one taste in emptiness, therefore it is said thus. That which is called "entering the door of the blessing of unobstructed jñana" refers to the jñana that knows all things as naturally accomplished without the need for thought or effort, which is called unobstructed jñana. Abiding in such jñana, or possessing such power, is called blessing. Because the teaching of this sutra can generate such blessing, it is said thus. That which is called "the teaching of the determination of all dharmas as they are" is because this sutra has taught the aspects of enlightenment, the grounds, the perfections, and other Buddha's dharmas without inversion. That which is called "entering the equality of non-thought and non-discrimination" is because the teaching of this sutra can generate the equality that transcends thought and discrimination. That which is called "understanding the profound dependent origination" is because worldly people do not believe that dharmas are not made by a maker, but are dependently originated, therefore dependent origination is said to be profound. And the teaching of this sutra can enable people to understand dependent origination. That which is called "accumulating all the great accumulations of merit and jñana" is because the teaching or exposition of this sutra can cause bodhisattvas to accumulate vast accumulations of merit and jñana.

That which is called "Going to the Ground" means that the three, body, speech, and mind, become one in the ultimate truth. It is called an ornament because it becomes equality itself, which is profound. Because such a thing comes from the explanation of this sutra, it is called "Following." That which is called "Manifesting Unfailing Mindfulness, Intelligence, Realization, Faith, and Wisdom" means that these things mentioned by name, such as mindfulness, will never be exhausted until the end of samsara, because this sutra comes from the explanation. Therefore, it is said that way. Mindfulness and so on have been explained before. Faith is to believe and not change to another. That which is called "Entering into the Truth of the Noble Ones for the Sake of Subduing by the Hearer Vehicle" means that for the sake of sentient beings to be subdued by the Hearer Vehicle, the truth of the four noble ones is also taught from this sutra, so it is said that way. That which is called "Knowing the Body and Mind to Be Extremely Secluded for the Sake of Subduing by the Solitary Buddha Vehicle" means that for the sake of sentient beings to be subdued by the Solitary Buddha Vehicle, the knowledge of the body and mind that are practiced like a rhinoceros horn is also taught from this sutra. That which is called "Initiating Empowerment on the Ground of Omniscience for the Sake of Subduing by the Great Vehicle" means that for the sake of sentient beings who have the potential of the Great Vehicle, the empowerment on the ground of the Buddha will also appear from the teaching of this sutra, so it is said that way. That which is called "Entering into the Way of Mastering All Dharmas for the Sake of Expressing the Qualities of the Tathagata" means that knowing all the dharmas of the Buddha without obstruction is called mastering all dharmas. If one knows all dharmas, one can also realize and express the qualities of the Tathagata, and the method of becoming like that is called the way. Because such a way comes from the teaching of this sutra, it is called entering into the way. Therefore, this sutra, which is endowed with such qualities, is spoken, taught, thoroughly taught, and so on, and should be understood as a category of words of explanation. Alternatively, "speaking" means teaching, and the following are explanations. Among them, teaching means teaching with good words and letters. Thoroughly teaching means teaching the meaning that does not contradict reason, in faith
