Although it is for the sake of, the characteristic of observing the sense-spheres is not, and so on. The two, the eye and the realm of phenomena, are not different in their characteristic of emptiness, so it is said. Others should be understood as similar to where the elements are explained. Alternatively, the emptiness of the nature of the eye's sense-sphere is itself the realm of phenomena. Because what is called the realm of phenomena is not different from it. Therefore, it is said that the sense-sphere of phenomena is indeed the sense-sphere of the eye. Therefore, in the Perfection of Wisdom, it is also said that whatever is form is emptiness. Whatever is emptiness is form, and so on. Desiring to show other aspects of being skilled in the sense-spheres, it is also said that being skilled in the sense-spheres means that being skilled in the eye's sense-sphere is empty of self and what belongs to self. The eye's sense-sphere and so on are not themselves self, and what is called self is not the power of another, so it should be empty of self. Alternatively, where something is not, it is empty of it. As it is said in the Lankavatara Sutra, the palace of the doe's enemy mother is empty because there are no pigs and sheep, and so on. Here too, it is said that because the eye's sense-sphere is without self and what belongs to self, it is empty. Similarly, it should be applied to the sense-spheres of the ear and so on. If one wonders how to understand that the eye's sense-sphere and so on are empty of self and what belongs to self, the noble Inexhaustible Intelligence, when examined with reason, not only is the eye's sense-sphere empty of self and what belongs to self, but also to show that the Blessed One has also understood and spoken, the Blessed One said, the eye is empty of self and what belongs to self, this is its nature, and so on. The word "this" is connected with the words "self and what belongs to self", emptiness of self and what belongs to self, this is the summary of the nature of the eye's sense-sphere. Like this, whatever does not make a writing of the sense-spheres, and so on, as explained above, the eye's sense-sphere and so on are empty of self and what belongs to self, because there is no nature, therefore, from the gateway of the eye's sense-sphere and so on, preventing and not arising mind and mental events, and distinguishing.

It is the meaning of being called "that." One does not accumulate non-virtuous dharmas, and virtuous dharmas do not decrease. This is because the aggregates are empty in their own nature, so one should not, through the gate of the aggregates, take up non-virtuous dharmas such as desire and hatred. One does not cause non-virtuous dharmas to increase. This means that one also does not abandon virtuous dharmas, so it is said that virtuous dharmas do not decrease. In this way, one does not accumulate non-virtuous dharmas, and virtuous dharmas do not decrease. If it becomes a matter of abandoning and increasing, one might fear becoming attached to duality. Therefore, in order to explain that one does not cling to the duality of good and non-good, it is said, "Not clinging to the duality of good and non-good, this is..." etc. Because karma and its maturation are not wasted, one does not accumulate non-virtuous dharmas, and virtuous dharmas do not decrease. Although this is so, in reality, one understands that both good and non-good are without inherent existence. Therefore, one does not cling to the duality of "this is good, this is non-good." This is what is meant by a Bodhisattva being skilled in the aggregates. Furthermore, wanting to show another aspect of the aggregates, it is said, "Moreover, being skilled in the aggregates means that the aggregate of the eye is the place of desire, and the support is the aggregate of form. If one sees that the eye is without desire for form, and also does not manifest the dharma of being without desire, this is what is meant by a Bodhisattva being skilled in the aggregates," and so on. When one sees an object with beautiful color and a pleasing shape and desire arises, the aggregate of the eye is the place of desire, and the support is the aggregate of form. When the eye sees form and desire and so on arise towards form, the cause of desire is the internal object and the external objects. Because these objects are essentially non-existent, even if one has become free from desire for form, one does not manifest the dharma of being free from desire, that is, the peaceful aspect, and one also does not abandon the dharmas of samsara such as form. This is the meaning of a Bodhisattva being skilled in the aggregates. This should be applied to sound and so on as appropriate. In order to briefly show the meaning of the aggregates that has been extensively explained, it is said, "The aggregates of the noble ones and the aggregates of the non-noble ones." In short, the aggregates are various
