The aggregates of decomposed nature have been taken as a burden, and because those have been abandoned, the burden has been cast off. This shows that the place of origin and birth of the afflictive and cognitive obscurations have been abandoned. Its explanation is, "The burden has been taken, it has been cast off." The meaning of burden is as before, meaning that the burden also refers to the five aggregates of taking hold. I have crossed the wilderness of samsara, which shows that the afflictive obscurations have been abandoned. This refers to that which causes samsara, which is the collection of afflictions such as desire. That itself is the wilderness. Its explanation is, "The afflictive obscurations have been completely abandoned." I have eliminated ignorance, which is non-afflictive unknowing, and eliminating it is abandoning. This shows that the cognitive obscurations have been abandoned, and its explanation is, "The cognitive obscurations have been completely abandoned." I say, "Wisdom has been accomplished," which shows the perfection of wisdom, and the wisdom that focuses on all knowable things is wisdom. Its explanation is, "All phenomena are directly realized as they truly are." I say, "The dart has been pulled out," and its explanation is, "The dart of all views has been removed." I say, "Existence is exhausted," and its explanation is, "Having separated from aspiration," which is the aspiration to seek for the sake of desire. Although abandoning the afflictive obscurations itself establishes the abandonment of views and desire, they are mentioned separately because views and desire constantly arise without ceasing, and therefore become primary. This shows the perfection of self-benefit. I say, "The ship of dharma has been launched," which means that the uncontaminated wisdom that focuses on the selflessness of all phenomena is the ship of dharma. Its explanation is, "The transcendent wisdom has been correctly accomplished." The words beginning with, "I say, 'The drum of dharma has been beaten,'" show the perfection of benefiting others, complete with skillful means. Among these, the skillful means is the excellent turning of the wheel of dharma. That is also shown by my saying, "The drum of dharma has been beaten." Its explanation is, "The wheel of dharma has been excellently turned," which is certainly good.
