, and speculate in detail. For them, where would there be lying down and standing up? Because of the wind's movement, it is speculated that the branches of trees, etc., will shake, so for them, where would one observe walking and coming? This is meaningless. The statement "If cut, it will grow" is said to show that it is meaningless. If those things were also sentient, why wouldn't they feel the suffering of killing, etc., when they are cut? Nor would there be actions such as displeasure, or prayers, or leaving there slightly. If one admits that they are sentient because they grow when cut, then those that do not grow when cut, in order to negate those, will become non-sentient. If the limbs, etc., of sentient beings are cut, because they are of a nature that does not grow, it will follow that they are non-sentient, therefore that reason is meaningless. Therefore, the terms inanimate and lifeless are truly established. The terms as it is and non-reversed are non-reversed because they are free from causelessness and incompatible causes. Unborn, because it is free from being produced and producing. Unarisen, because it is free from permanence and annihilation. Unmade, because it is free from the maker, that is, free from the activity of the inner agent, the purusha and Ishvara, etc. Unobstructed, because it is the nature of being without obscurations. Without an object, because it is free from the object and the subject. The nature of complete peace, because it is free from karma and afflictions. The nature of complete peace is free from all elaboration, severing all nets of conceptualization, eternally abiding, fearless, and free from birth and death. Who can see the Dharma in this way? Reaching near quiescence. It is said, reaching near quiescence, because it reaches near quiescence in order to ultimately show near quiescence. Who can contemplate the Dharma in this way and see the nature of inanimate objects, etc.?

Namely: Seeing dependent origination, the Dharma, and the Buddha with immaculate wisdom means seeing the Buddha's unsurpassed Dharmakaya. The Blessed One said so. "Seeing" refers to who sees. "Realizing the Noble Dharma" refers to those who are far away from sinful dharmas, they are the noble ones. Their Dharma is the Noble Dharma, such as right view. "Realizing" means turning towards manifestation with a focused mind and making it manifest, which means attaining Samadhi. "Possessing Right Wisdom" means truly understanding the suchness of all dharmas being without self. "Unsurpassed" means that there is not even a little bit of superior Dharma above this, therefore it is called unsurpassed. "Dharmakaya" means that the Dharmakaya itself is the Dharmakaya, like a Mani jewel. "Buddha" means understanding the meaning of the Dharma. Thus, whoever sees dependent origination sees the nature of the non-learning path that accomplishes unsurpassed Bodhi. Whoever truly realizes those dharmas that are the object of activity of noble wisdom, is born from the Dharma. Transformation of Dharma. Seeing the Dharma. Seeing the Buddha. The Blessed One said so. In order to distinguish the characteristics of dependent origination, the characteristic of "dependent origination" is mentioned. Why is it called dependent origination? Therefore it is said: possessing causes and other limbs. It refers to possessing causes and conditions, not to being without causes and conditions. The Blessed One briefly taught the characteristics of dependent origination: this is the result of this condition. Therefore it is said: Whether the Buddha appears in the world or not, this Dharma nature abides. Because the causes and conditions are not interrupted, and the cause and effect continue uninterrupted, proceeding from one to another. Here there is no cause, or an unfavorable cause, or causing to enter, or causing to return.

Because there is no obstruction whatsoever, whether the Tathāgatas appear or not, the nature of Dharma, the abiding of Dharma, the certainty of Dharma, these are inherently present, so it is said. If things arise and abide solely from a single cause that is devoid of conditions. If a condition, without relying on a cause, could produce something, then in the realm of speaking of abiding and not abiding, these arising and fruition are not without a cause, not without a condition, so whether the Tathāgatas appear or not, the nature of Dharma and the abiding of Dharma are inherently present, like this, the result of this very condition of dependent arising, the Blessed One briefly taught dependent arising. The nature of Dharma here refers to the nature of Dharma of cause and condition. The abiding of Dharma refers to the nature of Dharma that is not wasted. The certainty of Dharma refers to the certainty of the order of these very conditions, that is, the order of cause and condition. Dependent arising in accordance means that without a cause, conditions do not enter, and without conditions, causes do not enter, they enter when they gather together mutually. Non-otherness, suchness, means that it is free from otherness. Truthfulness means that it does not deceive. The only truth means that it accords with the truth. Suchness of that means that it has meaning. Non-erroneousness means that it is free from the four kinds of perversions. Non-perversion means that it is in accordance. Like this, this dependent arising, etc., because it is of two kinds, cause and condition, therefore, because of the two, cause and condition, the order of dependent arising must be acknowledged. What are the two? It is said that because of cause and association, and condition and association, therefore, it must also be acknowledged as four kinds by the difference of outer and inner. Outer and likewise inner, cause and condition are two kinds, so it is said. Thus, by the different distinctions of inner and outer
