Etc. are its merits, so its meaning is altruism. For example, just as a mattress etc. is combined with other places and called altruism. Because it is for the sake of others, this reason cannot be combined with the example of a mattress, because it is a combination. If I am the self-nature of non-combination, then how can I benefit from the self-nature of the combination of limbs such as a mattress that is non-combined and without self? Therefore, the meaning of the reason is not established. Non-combination accomplishes altruism, so the classification of mattresses, the example of mattresses, only accomplishes the altruism of combination. Because I am a combination, I obtain arising from cause and condition, so the clinging to I and mine arises, therefore only the mind is called I. In order to show that there is no internal agent like the self-nature of turtle hair in this, which is devoid of reason and inference, the Bhagavan said that external and internal things are not born from others. If so, things are not born from me either, nor from others. Then, will things arise from both? Therefore, in order to refute that sect, it is said, "Two and the agent are not time." It is said that it is not born from me and him. Others think that things are born from the relationship between me and him, so even if it is said to be two, because it is not observed to be born from me, and it is not born from him, it is said that it is not born from two. Apart from cause and condition, there is no me and him, the Bhagavan said so. If the two combine and do not want to arise and perish, then some people say, is it born and perished from the power of the agent? Other heretics think that there is an agent, called the first agent, the constant, continuous, pervasive master, who arises and destroys everything inside and outside. Therefore, in order to refute that sect, it is said that the arising, abiding, and ceasing of things is not the wisdom of the agent. So what is it? Cause

And from the combination of causes and conditions, things appear to arise. The agent is unchanging like space, so it does not depend on it, because it is impossible for it to arise, abide, and cease. If asked why, because the agent is unchanging, the nature of space without an agent has no action or activity whatsoever. Things that have arising depend on causes and conditions, appearing to arise in sequence. If it depends on the agent, according to that, the arising, abiding, and ceasing of things will always be close. Because the agent is permanent, things will arise, abide, and cease simultaneously, or nothing will arise, abide, and cease. Because it is permanent, it does not cause anything to arise or cease even slightly. Things depend on causes and conditions to arise, and only in these cases can one observe the sequence of the agent, action, cause, and effect arising similarly. But the lotus of space, which has no arising, etc., cannot arise, abide, or cease. From an unchanging cause, mutually dependent, the arising of things with action is not possible, because what is born from a permanent thing cannot be impermanent. Because the cause is unchanging, it can only produce the same result. If the cause and effect are different, how can it be unchanging? Because the cause also has changes, the aspect of dissimilarity disappears. For those who do not have action, like the son of a barren woman, no action or activity can be determined. Therefore, the Bhagavan said that because the Dharma does not deceive things, the arising of things does not depend on the agent, but when causes and conditions come together, things can arise and cease. If so, then it must be admitted that things have arising, abiding, change, etc. The cause of the arising and abiding of things should be known as the Lord. Others misunderstand in this way and state in an untrue way. Others think that the arising of sentient beings and the world, etc.
