The distinction of discomfort, the consciousness of the aspect manifested by feeling, arising from the power of discrimination, the difference between the six groups of object, sense faculty, and consciousness, gives rise to six kinds of feeling. Therefore, the Blessed One said that what arises simultaneously with contact is feeling. Similarly, savoring the taste of feeling, the nature of attachment and clinging to a small extent, is called craving, which is caused by feeling, and craving arises from it. Therefore, it is said: Thus, craving arises from feeling. What is called craving is the desire of the three realms, which is synonymous with attachment, special clinging, manifest desire, attachment, unwillingness to separate, joy, and suffering. Furthermore, due to the difference between sense faculty, object, and consciousness, it is established as six kinds of craving. Arising from the power of the consciousness of the aspect manifested by craving, six kinds of craving arise. Therefore, the Sugata said that clinging to feeling is existence. Thus, the increase of craving with special clinging is grasping. Therefore, it is said: The increase of craving is close grasping. Craving is the cause of being entangled by attachment and unwilling to separate. Virtue, non-virtue, and neutral, etc., are grasping, because it is close grasping, so it is close grasping. The five close graspings are close grasping. The karma that one has taken, how it arises from the power of others on the path of accumulation, is also called existence. Therefore, it is said: Existence arises from grasping. The consciousness of the aspect of how one's own karma's habit manifests, arising from the power of discrimination, is also called existence in order to realize existence, because it will arise again. One's own karma, that is, the power of how the habit is, is synonymous with the power of the habit of virtue, non-virtue, and unwavering karma. Thus, the existence of karma is the cause. From existence arises the aggregate of aggregates, which is birth. The arising of the aggregate of aggregates from the cause of the existence of karma is birth. What is called the arising of the aggregate of aggregates is the arising of the aggregate of aggregates, realm and

The attainment of the sources is also summarized as birth. The so-called aggregates (skandha) are called such because they are accumulations of many substances, and the meaning of piling up is the meaning of aggregates. Or, because they are destroyed by impermanence itself, as soon as they are born, they are eaten, destroyed, and annihilated by the demon of impermanence. This is the meaning of the word. If it is thus manifestly established, then by the cause of birth and the condition of birth, aging itself is accomplished. Therefore, it is said, 'Likewise, aging comes from birth.' This means that the aggregates that are manifestly established by the condition of birth, aging is decay itself, weakening, balding, graying hair, filled with wrinkles, hunching, bending, crookedness, a hoarse voice, relying on a cane, unclear behavior, failing senses, failing memory, and so on. These are the aggregates manifestly established by the condition of birth. The decay produced by the power of the habitual tendencies of discrimination, which is the appearance of consciousness with the characteristics of one's own karma, is called aging. Thus, the aggregates that have aged due to aging change into something else, which is called death. Therefore, it is said, 'Likewise, without the aggregates of aging, that is called death.' The so-called aging is when it becomes loose, and death arises from the condition of aging. The so-called death is the change of aggregates, that is, death, having died, the end of life, going to another world, transference, departure, the separation of aggregates, the destruction of aggregates, the exhaustion of life, the cessation of the life force, and so on. These are collectively called old age and death. Arising from the discrimination of consciousness with the appearance of death, the destruction of the aggregates is death, the final moment, the final sleep, the transference of consciousness, the disappearance of warmth, separation from life, abandoning one's kind, and transferring to existence. Whatever consciousness is in the final moment, the various kinds of vomiting produced by acupuncture and so on, taking, weakening, complete decay, attachment, intermittent, bad complexion, without protection, by the discrimination of one's own karma.
