Third are small virtue, immeasurable virtue, and increasing virtue. Fourth are cloudless, merit-born, and great fruit. The pure abodes are non-great, non-afflicted, exceedingly visible, abundant appearance, and Akanistha. The grounds of the four dhyanas are with investigation and without investigation, bliss, equanimity, equality, excellent dhyana, and unobstructed grounds. Whatever is not known, not seen, and not realized among these is also called ignorance. Whatever arises from the appearance of mere conceptual consciousness, the aspects of consciousness, the four formless absorptions, namely space, consciousness, nothingness, and neither perception nor non-perception, etc., whatever is not known, not realized, and not seen, is also called ignorance. Therefore, the Bhagavan said: The four dhyanas and unobstructed, the excellent ones and, the formless samadhis, the four different perceptions, and the four abodes of the pure ones, the nature shown by the ten grounds, the place of obtaining great power, that is not the three realms, self-mind yoga yoga mastery, the place where purity arises, wisdom samadhi and form, freedom and individually discerning. Thus it is said. Among these, whatever is non-afflictive ignorance, not knowing, not seeing, not realizing, not comprehending, obstructing the arising of wisdom on the path of cultivation, is also called ignorance. Therefore, because the eye faculty is obscured by the dimness of the darkness of ignorance, for objects, namely the consciousness of the aspects of form, sound, smell, taste, touch, and dharma, due to the appearance of the habits of inverted discrimination, clinging to permanence, self, happiness, purity, etc., in an inverted manner, therefore, greed, hatred, and delusion increase, therefore, the karma born of greed also manifests and is created. Because of having obstacles to desire, the karma born of hatred also manifests and is created. Considering the non-path as the path, considering the impure as pure,

For those who are not liberated, mistaking it for liberation, the (actions) born from ignorance also manifest and create. Conversely, the immutable karma is also manifested and created. With that cause and that basis, due to attachment to ignorance, and following anger, delusion, pride, views, doubt, jealousy, and stinginess, for the sake of the body's unwholesome actions, in order to fully protect oneself and knowledge, killing, taking what is not given, engaging in sexual misconduct out of desire, drinking intoxicating liquor, the disagreeable maturation manifests and is accomplished, and is also manifested and created. The falsehood of speech, sowing discord, harsh words, and meaningless speech, the disagreeable maturation manifests and is accomplished, and is also manifested and created. The unwholesome actions of mind, covetousness, malice, and those associated with wrong views, are also manifested and created. Through the cause of properly taking up the practices of misconduct of body, speech, and mind, beings will be born in hell, as hungry ghosts, as animals, as gods, as humans, and as asuras. Therefore, the realm of unknowing manifests desire, hatred, and delusion. Thus it is said. Among these, by not understanding, that is, by the cause of ignorance, the object of creation is manifested and created, therefore, the object of creation that is further cultivated, each with its own nature of discernment, the nature of consciousness is manifested and accomplished. Therefore, from that (ignorance) arises the object of creation, which is the consciousness of discernment. Thus it is said. Among these, from that, that is, relying on creation. The object is discernment, that is, discerning by being able to discern, that is, for consciousness, placing the habitual tendencies of karma, is the synonym for "placing the habitual tendencies of karma." What arises together with consciousness is the four non-form aggregates. Thus it is said. Arising together with consciousness means arising from the cause of consciousness. The four non-form aggregates are the four aggregates of consciousness, namely feeling, perception, formation, and consciousness. Non-form means not the four great elements and what is derived from them.
