It is because it is free from the aspect of accumulation. It is not permanent. Then what is it? It is the nature of mind and mental factors. The aggregates themselves are the nature of many substances. Form is the four great elements, the elements of earth, water, fire, and wind that arise from the semen and blood of parents. When these are gathered together, name and form are called the cause of distinct consciousness. 'Relying on name and form, the six sense bases arise.' This means that the habits of previous desire for the senses, the name and form placed on name and form, cause the six senses such as the eye to manifest and accomplish, so it is said that the six sense bases arise. The six sense doors are the basis of the six consciousnesses, and the self-nature of the consciousness that distinguishes objects such as form is manifested and accomplished, so the Bhagavan said that the senses that rely on name and form are the six sense bases. 'Object, sense, and consciousness, when combined, touch arises.' This means that because the six sense bases are the cause, the sense and consciousness are combined on the object, which is touch. The senses and consciousness enter the objects such as form without interruption, as if touching them. There is no touch in this. The five non-accumulated consciousnesses are the accumulated collection, and together with the objects and senses, they become one, so they are like touch, but they are not touch. Therefore, the Bhagavan also said, 'The combination of three dharmas is touch.' It is the arising of the consciousness that appears as the object. Similarly, for those who are infatuated with tasting the taste of touch, relying on the collection of six touches, the collection of six feelings arises. Therefore, it is said, 'Feeling arises from touch, it should be known.' Feeling is caused by touch, which is a synonym for arising from the cause of touch. Among them, what is called feeling is feeling because it is felt by it, so feeling is experience. Pleasant feeling and painful feeling, as well as neither pleasant nor painful feeling, and joyful feeling.
