English

Her heart is elsewhere, her complete utterance is elsewhere. Though soft, smooth, and pleasant to the touch, when held, she is like a vajra. She does not remember kindness or respect, her mind is stained. Clothes, food, and bodily ornaments, given to a handsome and pleasing youth, she abandons her own master, and goes to a stranger. To the companion to whom she goes, the woman rejoices, and the man who stays, she quickly abandons. Just as a bee leaves a flower after a short time, so too, when a man's wealth is exhausted, the woman abandons him. The heart of a sword, rough and deceitful, obscured by the darkness of sin. A woman is born to ruin a man, and has no other purpose. Even the gods, for them, there is no bond stronger than that of a woman. Bound tightly by the bonds of women, they eventually fall into hell. From childhood, a woman accumulates deceit and trickery. A person who is deluded by love for a woman, is ignorant because of delusion. Deceiving a trustworthy man, binding him with all her efforts, stealing the essence of enjoyment, sucking him like sugarcane and discarding him. Even if a man uses all means, and guards her in every way, he cannot completely control a woman. With pleasing words, she bewilders men like deer, and when they become degenerate, she abandons them like impure ashes. She does not remember kindness, and after respect, similarly, after power and love, if you face decline, the woman will not remember you. Abandoning old flowers, she runs like a female bee. Similarly, when a husband declines, she has no love or shame. Her heart is not necessarily joyful, she is unstable and kind-hearted, deceitful and her actions are pleasing, the arrogant are always abandoned like honey mixed with poison. Most women are evil-minded, they are the treasury and bonds of existence. In order to prevent all discord from arising, those who desire liberation should completely abandon them. This is the thirteenth chapter, speaking of the faults of women, from Entering the Path of the Conquerors. Whoever is the maker of all faults.

Wine should not be drunk, because it causes recklessness, and especially destroys virtues. Desire, hatred, and ignorance, will burn even more intensely. Worldly laughter, laziness, all verbal faults and the exhaustion of wealth, lack of trust, false words, disorder, and the decline of actions. The mind is fickle, and the body is uncontrolled, disease and mental deterioration, shamelessness and lack of integrity, arguing, and condemning all others, and actions without certainty. Similarly, it is engaging in sinful deeds, causing unbearable great suffering in this world and the next. Because of the arising of these and other faults, therefore, one should completely abstain from alcohol. With what and what as the basis of training, what is prescribed according to one's ability, if one violates the extensively prescribed precepts, that is a transgression. This is the fourteenth chapter, stating the faults of drinking alcohol, from Entering the Path of the Conquerors. What is the use of saying more? The afflictions and near afflictions themselves, these supports of all faults, should be destroyed with great effort. Afflictions arise from near afflictions, from actions arise virtues and so on, from that arises this aggregate of cyclic existence, whose nature is suffering that greatly increases. The six latent tendencies are the root, such as desire, anger, and pride, ignorance and doubt are afflictions, and among these, desire has two aspects. The desire of the desire realm, is called desire-desire. That which is transformed into the form and formless realms, is existence-attachment; views are, the permanence and annihilation of self and what belongs to self, regarding the non-existent and inferior as supreme, and regarding non-causes and non-paths as paths, these are the five views. The ten afflictions in the three realms, are divided into ninety-eight. These four noble truths of the noble ones, are abandoned by the paths of seeing and meditation. If these are extensively elaborated, they will be clearly stated at the time of the path of seeing. This is just a temporary statement of the unfavorable aspects. This is the fifteenth chapter, stating the faults of latent tendencies, from Entering the Path of the Conquerors. Anger and holding onto anger, deceit and jealousy, cealing and harming, and stinginess, dissimulation and torpor, and committing sins, shamelessness and lack of integrity, seeking gain and honor, and hypocrisy, flattery for gain

Flattery and deception, these are called the five wrong livelihoods. Faults, repetition, arrogance, and not concealing, attachment and complete attachment, not paying attention, not enduring, attachment and irrational attachment, laziness and non-dharma attachment, discouragement and not wanting to eat, wanting to obtain and desire, harmful thoughts and agitation and regret, dullness and sleep and wanting to do evil, laziness and great desire, displeasure and lack of discipline, being like evil people and not being happy, the four births of thought, and the seven divisions of pride should be known. Doubts are all near afflictions, these defilements should be abandoned. The near afflictions are briefly shown. Anger is the mind being extremely disturbed, resentment is closely related to it. The deceit of the mind is deception, being unable to bear the happiness of others is jealousy. Hiding one's own faults is concealment. Irritation is the attachment of sin. Stinginess is extreme non-giving. Illusion is deceiving others. Annoyance is the decline of pride. Committing offenses is being annoyed by anger. Shamelessness and lack of embarrassment are not being concerned about oneself and others. Measuring with gain, in order to obtain profit, openly slandering others. Pretending for the sake of profit and respect is guarding the senses. For the sake of profit and respect, first speaking gentle words. Desiring gains with gains is praising what was previously obtained. Being obviously attached to the wealth of others, praising the wealth of others, flattery is these five, which are considered wrong livelihoods. Fault repetition is to the angry mind of others, it is said to be applying nourishment. Arrogance is pride, not concealing is the mind having become differentiated. Attachment is a small complete entanglement, which arises from the attachment of desire. Complete attachment is to desire, it is a great complete entanglement. Not paying attention is to all meanings, there is no proper attention in the mind. Not enduring is doing harm, and suffering also cannot be endured. Attachment is to one's own wealth, the mind possessing the attachment of attachment. Attachment to the wealth of others is called irrational attachment. Laziness is the body without effort, it is laziness in the meaning of laziness. Attachment to women should be abandoned, it is called attachment to the Dharma.
