Nowhere. Not elsewhere, that is the offering to the Tathagata. Friends, the body of the Tathagata is of the nature of non-arising, therefore it is not easy to offer with arising. Thus it was said. O Light Protector, in this way, those two noble beings caused the monks and gods to truly hold onto profound patience. From then on, all of them diligently pursued their own benefit, and remained abiding in few activities. Hereafter, they will not even go to the stupas of the Tathagata. They will not even strive for the sake of offering to the relics of the Tathagata. Why is that? It is because their minds have entered into the supreme profound Dharma itself. O Light Protector, after seven days from then, all those stupas of the Tathagata will sink into the earth. All those relics of the Tathagata will disappear in that very place, as if poured into ashes, or as if poured into a container. O Light Protector, therefore, one should learn from such noble beings. O Light Protector, also in the future, some Bodhisattva vehicle practitioners and Shravaka vehicle monks will appear who have not cultivated their bodies, have not cultivated their minds, have not cultivated their morality, and have not cultivated their wisdom. They will think of living by offering to the relics of the Tathagata, not for the sake of Nirvana, and not for the sake of detachment from desire. Thus it was said. O Light Protector, in the later age, in the last five hundred years of the later time, some monks will appear who have not cultivated their bodies, have not cultivated their minds, have not cultivated their morality, and have not cultivated their wisdom. They will draw the images of the Tathagata on the surface of cloth, walls, and fences, and they will also think of living by those. Through that action, they will be conceited, praise themselves, and despise and slander others. After thus speaking, the venerable Great Light Protector said to the Bhagavan: O Bhagavan, then O Bhagavan

The past (Buddha) asked Light Protector (འོད་སྲུངས།), "If one makes a statue of the Tathagata, will this much merit be generated?" The Blessed One said, "Light Protector, it is indeed so. King Clear is a householder who wears white clothes. If he is allowed to make a statue of the Tathagata, it will only become an offering to himself. He will not want robes, alms, or any benefit from it. Light Protector, those foolish people think that he will live on this, they think it is meaningful, but in reality they are only doing meaningless things." The World Honored One said up to this point. (The Buddha said:) "Light Protector, any son or daughter of a lineage who makes a statue of the Tathagata from the seven precious substances, makes it very exquisite, cleans it very well, and has a height equivalent to Mount Sumeru. Such a statue of the Tathagata, if it can make the Buddha-field as numerous as the sands of the Ganges River, like a sugarcane forest, a reed thicket, a rice field, or a sesame field, filled with birds. Light Protector, what do you think? Will this son or daughter of a lineage accumulate more merit from this?" Light Protector replied, "World Honored One, even if only a small part of the Tathagata's statue the size of a finger is made, a large amount of merit will be accumulated. Moreover, what need is there to say about making a statue of the Tathagata as large as Mount Sumeru?" The World Honored One said, "Light Protector, you must believe, you must understand. Moreover, if any Bodhisattva can thoroughly contemplate the statue of the Tathagata, even if it is only contemplating a part as small as the tip of a needle, if he can obtain forbearance for the profound Dharma, then he will accumulate more merit. Moreover, if someone abides in the aggregate of morality, upholds a four-line verse, and contemplates the meaning of that verse, and even proclaims it to one sentient being, then he will accumulate more merit." The World Honored One said up to this point. Also, this sutra
