Again, Again and again. When entering a village, one should seek a second bhikkhu. Or remember the Buddha. Whoever possesses wisdom, holding such a Sutra, its rituals and practices, this is what I said at the beginning. Whoever has no attachment to conditioned and unconditioned, correct and incorrect, superior, middling, and inferior dharmas in all aspects. One does not cling to "steadfast woman," nor does one think of "man," all dharmas are unborn, and even if sought, they cannot be seen. This is the Bodhisattva's ritual, shown in all aspects. Thus it is said. From the Sutra of Mindfulness of the Sacred Dharma, it is also said: Thus, steadfastness and diligence, and complete tranquility, and serving the guru, and abandoning sinful friends, and being accustomed to the Buddha's teachings, and being accustomed to proper attention, and abandoning pride, and generating faith in karma and its results, and not remembering past desires, and abandoning looking at women, and not frequently moving about for the sake of seeing relatives and friends, and running to all places, and because of fear of excrement and death and birth, one should enter the village in that way. Thus it is said. From the Sutra of Ocean of Wisdom, it is also said: Ocean of Wisdom, there are also four dharmas that become obstacles to the Great Vehicle, what are the four? Entering villages, cities, and towns when hearing is little, and not abiding in the aggregate of morality, but desiring gain, respect, and offerings, and looking at women without guarding the doors of the senses, and entering the faculties of sentient beings with an unequal mind. Thus it is said. From the Sutra of Mindfulness of the Sacred Dharma, it is also said: One should not dwell with the lazy. One should not associate with the hypocritical. One should not dwell with the gluttonous. One should not inquire about farming with merchants. One should not be with those who live by deceit. One should not be with those who are naturally defiled. One should not be with those who have wrong views. One should not be with the fickle. One should not be with the arrogant. One should not be with the proud. One should not be with those who have fallen and risen again. One should not be with those who live by gambling. One should not be with taverns. One should not be with wine-selling women.
