Just as that field, so vast, will be destroyed by a great assembly of thieves and a great assembly of barbarians. Shariputra, how do I, through the Dharma, manifest the unsurpassed, perfectly complete enlightenment, and turn the unsurpassed wheel of Dharma, which has not been turned by any ascetic or Brahmin, or god, or demon, or Brahma, or anyone, but is turned in accordance with the Dharma in the world? Unlawful things will not exist in this place of mine. The world, together with the gods, will manifestly be brought under control. Shariputra, where there is such a manifest cause, when the Thus-gone One passes completely into nirvana, those who expand this unsurpassed, perfectly complete enlightenment, when they are asked in accordance with the Dharma, will not speak in order to answer. At that time, I will not give fearlessness to those sons of mine either. Shariputra, for example, a certain person places a pot of honey near a great crossroads on the road, and says, "If even a hair's tip is completely eaten from this pot of honey that has been broken in a hundred ways, that person will not grow old and die." And that pot of honey will be guarded by many holding weapons in their hands, with swords. Shariputra, at that time, the guardians will constantly think, "Whoever eats even a hair's tip from this pot of honey that has been broken in a hundred ways, that person will lose their life." Shariputra, some will think, "If whoever eats even a hair's tip from this pot of honey that has been broken in a hundred ways, I will not grow old and die. Even if I give up my life, I will eat from this pot of honey." If the weapons have not fallen, and it is possible to eat from this pot of honey, then later there will be no fear of weapons. One will attain the state without aging and death." They will think in this way. That person gives up their life and becomes regardless of life, and goes to take from that pot of honey, at that time, hundreds of thousands of many beings holding weapons in their hands will gather.

If the weapons do not fall, and one is able to eat from that jar of honey, then he will be liberated from great suffering, and completely freed from aging and death. Shariputra, in order to destroy so many white dharmas, evil demons and gods of the demonic hosts, as well as monks, nuns, laymen, and laywomen dispatched by demons will enter. Also, in the Sutra of Entering Great Compassion, it is said: "Whoever is virtuous and possesses qualities, abides in loving-kindness and is always skilled in patience, is well-tamed, gentle, and able to generate faith, will surely prevail at that time. Whoever again possesses a malicious mind, is extremely violent, fierce, and has declining karma, engages in non-dharma practices and delights in disputes, will be venerated at that time." Thus it is said. Also, in the Essence of the Moon Sutra, it is said: "Furthermore, those attachments will serve sinful monks. Those monks will give stupas and the Sangha's food, drink, and the taste of fruits to laypeople, and then again become offerings. Those who support them will give servants and houses. Monks who are separated from the three actions, boast of their learning and are fallen, are not in harmony with meditation and discipline, but become leaders in the assembly. When those who hold the precepts fall, they will fight for the sake of wealth." Thus it is said. Also, in the same sutra, it is said: "This monk is a hypocrite, a supremely fierce thief. Whoever makes offerings to him will gain much non-fame, he will not gain merit, he will say to the laypeople: 'Do not listen to his teachings.'" Thus it is said. Also, in the Sutra of Golden Light, it is said: "In the country, evil spirits will enter, and diseases of good people will also arise. Underneath it, even the place of alms will not be in accordance with the Dharma. His retinue and ministers will also not be in accordance with the Dharma. To those who are not in accordance with the Dharma, offerings will be made underneath it. To sentient beings who are in accordance with the Dharma, they will always be cut off by punishment. If one honors those who are not in accordance with the Dharma, and cuts off those who are in accordance with the Dharma with punishment, then there will be a lack of water and stars there."
