If, for as many kalpas as there are grains of sand in the Ganges, one were to give to arhats, as numerous as the dust particles in all the worlds, food with a hundred divine flavors in a single day, and likewise give divine garments, then, Manjushri, any other son or daughter of good family who gives a single meal to a solitary pratyekabuddha for a single day will generate immeasurably more merit than that. Manjushri, if any son or daughter of good family were to give, for as many kalpas as there are grains of sand in the Ganges, to pratyekabuddhas, as numerous as the dust particles in all the worlds, food with a hundred divine flavors in a single day, and likewise give divine garments, then, Manjushri, any other son or daughter of good family who sees a painted or sculpted image of the Buddha will generate immeasurably more merit than that. What need is there to mention joining one's palms, or offering flowers, incense, perfume, or butter lamps? This will generate immeasurably more merit than that. Manjushri, if any son or daughter of good family were to offer, for as many kalpas as there are grains of sand in the Ganges, to buddhas, the Bhagavat, together with their shravaka sangha, as numerous as the grains of sand in the Ganges, food with a hundred divine flavors in a single day, and likewise offer divine garments, then, any other son or daughter of good family who rejoices in whatever roots of virtue are generated toward the Buddha by a bodhisattva who travels by means of a cart drawn by oxen, and who has perfect intention, even if they only give a single meal for a single day, will generate immeasurably more merit than that. Manjushri, if any son or daughter of good family were to give, for as many kalpas as there are grains of sand in the Ganges, to bodhisattvas who travel by means of carts drawn by goats, as numerous as the dust particles in all the worlds, food with a hundred divine flavors in a single day, and likewise give divine garments, then, any other son or daughter of good family who rejoices in whatever roots of virtue are generated toward the Buddha by a single bodhisattva who travels by means of a cart drawn by elephants

布施具有百种滋味的诸天饮食，以及布施诸天衣物。文殊，善男子或善女子，若有其他之人，书写此法门，或令人书写，以及读诵，则此人更能生起无量功德。反之，未加抑制的非善业也应如是宣说。如以牲畜之车行进，如以山羊之车行进，如以大象之车行进，如以日月之车行进，以及如以声闻之神通力行进。文殊，无论何者，若有善男子或善女子，阻碍如所有世界微尘数之以声闻神通力行进之菩萨们的善根，文殊，若有其他善男子或善女子，对于以如来神通力行进之一位菩萨，乃至对于属于旁生之善根加以阻碍，并且生起嗔怒和轻蔑之心，则此人更能生起无量非福德。文殊，无论何者，若有善男子或善女子，挖出十方所有世界微尘数之所有众生的眼睛，并且抢夺所有财物，不如其他善男子或善女子，对于菩萨，以任何因缘生起轻蔑之心，加以呵责，说不悦耳之语，以及扰乱，则此人更能生起众多罪业。文殊，无论何者，若有善男子或善女子，对于菩萨，以任何因缘生起轻蔑之心而加以辱骂，则以彼不善业，此众生将生于大号叫地狱，身体量为五百由旬，并且具有五百个头。其每一个头上，又有五百个口。其每一个口中，又有五百条舌头。其每一条舌头上，又将有五百个犁铧耕耘。文殊，善男子或善女子

Giving food of the gods with a hundred flavors, and similarly giving clothes of the gods. Manjushri, son or daughter of good family, whoever else writes down this Dharma teaching, or causes it to be written down, and reads it, this one generates immeasurable merit even more. Conversely, non-virtuous actions that are not restrained should also be spoken of in the same way. Like going by means of a cart of livestock, like going by means of a cart of goats, like going by means of a cart of elephants, like going by means of a cart of the sun and moon, and also like going by means of the miraculous power of the hearers. Manjushri, whichever son or daughter of good family, rather than obstructing the roots of virtue of the bodhisattvas who go by means of the miraculous power of the hearers, as many as the dust motes of all the world realms, Manjushri, whichever other son or daughter of good family, towards one bodhisattva who goes by means of the miraculous power of the tathagatas, even obstructing the roots of virtue belonging to the animal realm, and generating anger and contempt, this one generates immeasurable non-merit even more. Manjushri, whichever son or daughter of good family, rather than plucking out the eyes of all sentient beings, as many as the dust motes of all the world realms of the ten directions, and stealing all possessions, whichever other son or daughter of good family, generating a mind of contempt towards a bodhisattva for whatever reason, scolding, speaking unpleasantly, and disturbing, that one generates much more sin. Manjushri, whichever son or daughter of good family, generating contempt towards a bodhisattva for whatever reason and reviling, by that non-virtuous action, that sentient being will be born in the great wailing hell, with a body of five hundred yojanas, and will have five hundred heads. On each of those heads, there will be five hundred mouths. In each of those mouths, there will be five hundred tongues. On each of those tongues, there will be five hundred plows plowing.
