Any other son or daughter of good family, if they give one meal a day to someone who does not rely on other spiritual teachers and possesses the path of the ten virtuous actions, thinking, 'This is learning the teachings of the Blessed One, the Buddha,' this will generate even more immeasurable merit. Manjushri, any son or daughter of good family who, for as many eons as there are grains of sand in the Ganges, gives food with a hundred divine flavors every day to as many individuals who do not rely on other spiritual teachers and possess the path of the ten virtuous actions as there are dust particles in all the worlds, and similarly gives divine garments, it is still less than if another son or daughter of good family gives one meal a day to one bhikshu, which will generate even more immeasurable merit. Manjushri, any son or daughter of good family who, for as many eons as there are grains of sand in the Ganges River, gives food with a hundred divine flavors every day to as many bhikshus as there are dust particles in all the worlds, and similarly gives divine garments, it is still less than if any other son or daughter of good family gives one meal a day to one follower by faith, which will generate even more immeasurable merit. Manjushri, any son or daughter of good family who, for as many eons as there are grains of sand in the Ganges, gives food with a hundred divine flavors every day to as many followers by faith as there are dust particles in all the worlds, and similarly gives divine garments, it is still less than if another son or daughter of good family gives one meal a day to one follower by dharma, which will generate even more immeasurable merit. Manjushri, any son or daughter of good family who, for as many eons as there are grains of sand in the Ganges, gives food with a hundred divine flavors every day to as many followers by dharma as there are dust particles in all the worlds, and similarly gives divine garments, it is still less than Manjushri, any son or daughter of good family

Manjushri, whichever son or daughter of good family, for as many eons as there are grains of sand in the Ganges, to as many Stream-enterers as there are dust motes in all the realms of the world, gives food with a hundred divine flavors each day, and likewise gives divine garments as alms, Manjushri, whichever other son or daughter of good family, if they give one meal to a Once-returner for one day, it will generate immeasurable merit even more so. Manjushri, whichever son or daughter of good family, for as many eons as there are grains of sand in the Ganges, to as many Once-returners as there are dust motes in all the realms of the world, gives food with a hundred divine flavors each day, and likewise gives divine garments as alms, Manjushri, whichever other son or daughter of good family, if they give one meal to a Non-returner for one day, this will generate immeasurable merit even more so. Manjushri, whichever son or daughter of good family, for as many eons as there are grains of sand in the Ganges, to as many Non-returners as there are dust motes in all the realms of the world, gives food with a hundred divine flavors each day, and likewise gives divine garments as alms, Manjushri, whichever other son or daughter of good family, if they give one meal to an Arhat for one day, it will generate immeasurable merit even more so. Manjushri, whichever son or daughter of good family, for as many eons as there are grains of sand in the Ganges, to all the realms of the world
