Therefore, one becomes the lord of all the world, and becomes extremely certain about the five superknowledges. By raining down the rain of generosity on all the world, its measure cannot be grasped in all directions. Because it constantly and continuously arises, it is not known to be exhausted. Therefore, it becomes a never-ending benefit to beings. It is also the cause of vast, inexhaustible wisdom. It is a thing that causes the three realms to perish, and like the sky and clouds, it is never mixed up. That is the true abiding of emptiness, and it completely abandons the faults of characteristics. Because it eliminates afflictions and has no inferiority, the great Thubwang (Buddhas) have declared it to be inexhaustible. Noble beings have specifically stated that the generosity that is the cause of great happiness, those who wish to practice it should generate great compassion for the world with impermanent yoga. When the appearance of enjoyment is seen as impermanent, and great compassion becomes one's own nature, giving is better than keeping it in one's own home. One will realize the extremely profound discipline. Whatever is given will not give rise to fear. Whatever is kept at home will give rise to fear. It should not be shared in common, and must always be protected. If you give, those faults will not harm you. Giving accomplishes happiness in the next world, and not giving causes suffering even in this life. People's wealth is like the nature of meteors. If it is not completely given away, it will disappear. Wealth that is not given away will impermanently disappear, but giving will make it a treasure to possess. Whatever is given by those who are devoted to benefiting sentient beings, even wealth that has no essence will become meaningful. Whatever is completely given away is praised by the wise. Foolish people like to hoard. By holding on to everything, there is nothing that does not separate. Giving always brings abundance. Giving prevents afflictions from being held on to. Stinginess is not the path of the noble ones, and it generates afflictions. Whatever is given is the best of paths. Other than that, the noble ones have said it is a bad path. When a beggar comes first, the prince, in order to increase the accumulation of perfect enlightenment, places the thought of others on himself, and generates the thought of a virtuous friend in him. When hearing that a beggar has come, great people, because their unpleasant afflictions become thin, a great feast of joy arises.

Those who come begging first will make them happy. If the beggars come first, but you are very poor and unable to give, then, by all means, do not let the beggars be disappointed. Soothe their hearts with gentle words. In the future, if beggars come to you, by all means, do not let them become frustrated and disappointed. Strive to eliminate the faults of stinginess, and strive to completely abandon worldliness. If someone is attached to wealth, he will not generate Bodhicitta. This supreme mind is incompatible with faults, just as the great ocean is incompatible with stench. Therefore, always abandon all faults, and in order to seek enlightenment, always give everything. The mind, behavior, and fearless spirit of "I alone protect all beings" are inconsistent. Such giving has its root in Bodhicitta. Such giving has the intention to give but does not give. The Buddha said that those in the world who have the intention to give are the most supreme among givers. This is the chapter on the Perfection of Giving. The perfect Buddha is adorned with the splendor of discipline, and strives to accomplish the benefit of all beings. First, one must completely purify one's own discipline, and also generate the power of pure discipline. By all means, even in dreams, one must not harm, and one must generate love for all the world. Those who single-mindedly benefit others should not touch the wealth of others as if it were an illusion. Turning away from the thought of recitation and practice, one must first completely abandon the thought of deceiving the wives of others. Those who benefit the world should accomplish the actions of the body like a supreme husband. Words that are pleasing to the ear, timely, do not lead to discord, and are in accordance with the truth, and are able to comprehend the true Dharma, should be sought with medicine and constantly proclaimed. If others have obtained perfect happiness, what should my share do? Generate the joy of "I have personally obtained those happinesses," and completely abandon attachment. Do not disregard your own benefit because of the control of afflictions. This is the extreme manifestation of one's own weakness. For all the faults of others, think likewise, and strive to extinguish the flames of hatred. Illuminate the darkness shrouded by wrong views with the light of wisdom, so that gods and humans
