It enables complete fulfillment. The steadfast conduct that is wondrous, even if a rain like a vajra were to fall, the supreme body of the Thus-Gone One would not be destroyed. In order for all beings in the world to attain it, one may even give away one's feet. In order to increase the wisdom of equanimity in the world, if one were to offer even the most precious head to all those who come to beg, what need is there to mention the other limbs of the body? Such things as these are constantly without fault. From the conduct of a Bodhisattva, one completely gives away, and with the rain of generosity, one satisfies beings, and manifestly goes to the ocean of omniscience. One should not seek out race and give, and one should not seek to harm others and give. There is no inferiority in giving to others. One should not praise oneself with pride in giving. One should never slander others. One should not completely abandon wrong actions, and one should not give without being seized by a superior thought. One should not lower oneself with the fault of anger. One should not regret giving. One should not give much by being deceitful and flattering. One should not give because of shame or fear, or to become an object of giving. One should not give away bad things while having good things, or despise them because they are not objects of giving, or be suspicious because of hoping for ripening results, or give without respect and with contempt. One should not be displeased by offering to those who possess morality, and one should not give little because of arrogance and contempt. One should not make any wrong effort a cause, and one should not give things that harm beggars. One should not give at the wrong time, and one should not give gifts that are not in accordance with the season. One should not give for the sake of praying to the gods, or for the sake of praying to the king. One should not give in the manner of praying to the inferior vehicle. One should not give by looking at people's faces, or for the sake of fame and laughter. One should not boast that one's ability is exhausted, and one should not give things that harm the lives of others. One should not dedicate it to omniscience, or give things that are condemned by holy beings. Therefore, one obtains the name of Paramita, and one truly goes to pure giving. The accumulation of merit arising from that giving, even if all the merits of all beings in the world were gathered together, it would not be able to overcome it, so.
