And the element of wind, from the point of accurately discerning each element of this body as it truly is. Similarly, connect it. Subhuti, for example, a heap of things, such as rice, grains, sesame, paddy, small lentils, large lentils, barley, wheat, small beans, mustard, and various grains filled within. When a person with eyes examines them, they will know that these are rice, these are grains, these are sesame, these are paddy, these are small lentils, these are large lentils, these are barley, these are wheat, these are small beans, these are mustard. Subhuti, similarly, when a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva practices Prajnaparamita, regarding this body, from the soles of the feet upwards to the hairline downwards, up to the nails, hair, and skin, filled with various impure things. In this body, there are hair, body hair, brain, brain fat, eyelashes, and earwax, etc., just as before, accurately discerning each one as it truly is. Similarly, connect it. Subhuti, furthermore, when a Bodhisattva goes to a cemetery and sees various corpses abandoned in the cemetery, taken to the place of corpses, dead for one day, dead for two days, dead for three days, dead for four days, dead for five days, or swollen, bruised, rotten, or gnawed by worms, they will think that this body also has such a nature, also has such a Dharma nature, and will not transcend this Dharma nature, and they will also connect this body with those corpses. Subhuti, in this way, when a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva practices Prajnaparamita, they dwell in contemplating the body in the body. Similarly, connect it. Furthermore, when one sees a dead body abandoned in a cemetery, dead for six days, dead for seven days, being pecked by crows, or by foxes, vultures, dogs, jackals, or other various creatures devouring it, they will think that this body also has such a nature, also has such a Dharma nature.

This body is also united with that, not deviating from this Dharma-nature. Unite it in this way. Furthermore, if one sees a dead body abandoned in a charnel ground, eaten by insects, impure, and foul-smelling, then this body is also united with that, as before. Furthermore, if one sees in a charnel ground skeletons, flesh and blood piled up like mountains, with sinews entwined, then this body is also united with that, as before. Furthermore, if one sees in a charnel ground skeletons that have formed, without flesh, blood, and sinews, then this body is also as before. Furthermore, if one sees in a charnel ground bones scattered in all directions, such as the shin bone being here, the thigh bone being there, the hip bone being elsewhere, the vertebrae being elsewhere, the ribs being elsewhere, the cervical vertebrae being elsewhere, and the arm bone also being elsewhere, then this body also possesses that nature, also possesses that Dharma, not deviating from this Dharma-nature, this body is also united with that. Unite it in this way. Subhuti, furthermore, when a Bodhisattva Mahasattva practices the Perfection of Wisdom, if one sees in a charnel ground bones that have decayed for many years, bleached white by the wind and sun, like a conch shell, then this body also possesses that nature, also possesses that Dharma, not deviating from this Dharma-nature, this body is also united with that. Subhuti, furthermore, when a Bodhisattva Mahasattva practices the Perfection of Wisdom, if one sees in a charnel ground bones that have decayed for many years, the color of pigeon droppings, bluish and porous, crumbling like dust, then this body also possesses that nature, also possesses that Dharma, not deviating from this Dharma-nature, this body is also united with that. Thus it is said. This is a brief explanation of the antidote to attachment. The antidote to hatred is love, not seeing unpleasant beings, or rejoicing in sharing food and other things with them. Wishing, seeking, delighting in, and rejoicing in the happiness of others is love. In desire, afflictions arise from attachment and the causes of repaying kindness.
