May it be firm. May one possess the immeasurable bliss of the Buddha's liberation. May one be well attained by the immeasurable bliss of the Buddha's Dharma-miracle. May one be well and completely attained by the inconceivable bliss of the Buddha's unattached abode. May the supreme bliss of the Buddha be constant and uninterrupted, difficult to approach. May the bliss of the Buddha's power be extremely blissful with immeasurability. May one be blissful without change by the bliss of the cessation of all feelings, without arising. May the unattached abode of the bliss of the Thus-Gone One, constantly abide in equanimity, not engaging in duality, and be blissful without disturbance. Bodhisattvas, in this way, dedicate this root of virtue to the Thus-Gone Ones and dedicate it to the Bodhisattvas. Whatever aspirations are not fulfilled, may their aspirations be fulfilled; whatever superior aspirations of omniscient wisdom are not purified, may they be purified; may all perfections be fulfilled and completely fulfilled; may the arising of the mind of enlightenment be established in the state of a vajra; may the armor of non-retrogression from omniscience be constant and uninterrupted; may the roots of virtue of the Bodhi's own nature be generated; may the great aspiration of abiding in equality for all beings be completely fulfilled; may all abodes of the Bodhisattva be realized; may all faculties of the Bodhisattva be sharpened with manifest knowledge; may all roots of virtue of the Bodhisattva be dedicated for the sake of touching omniscience itself. Thus, after dedicating the root of virtue for the benefit of the Bodhisattvas, for all those who practice the Buddha's teachings, the Hearers, and the Solitary Buddhas, dedicate this root of virtue in this way: Whatever sentient beings, even if they hear the name of the Buddha once, or hear the sound of the Dharma once, or serve and honor the noble Sangha, may their root of virtue be dedicated to the unsurpassed, perfectly complete enlightenment. Complete recollection of the Buddha

I dedicate this for the sake of perfect accomplishment. I dedicate this for the sake of engaging in mindfulness of the Dharma. I dedicate this for the sake of respecting the noble Sangha. I dedicate this for the sake of not being separated from seeing the Buddha. I dedicate this for the sake of completely purifying the mind. I dedicate this for the sake of thoroughly understanding the Buddha's teachings. I dedicate this for the sake of accomplishing immeasurable qualities. I dedicate this for the sake of completely purifying the merit of all superknowledges. I dedicate this for the sake of reversing doubt in the Dharma. Just as the dedication is made to those who have entered the Buddha's teachings, to the Shravakas and Pratyekabuddhas, so too, the Bodhisattva dedicates this root of virtue to all sentient beings. That is, I dedicate this for the sake of turning sentient beings away from the path of hell. I dedicate this for the sake of completely cutting off the animal realm. I dedicate this for the sake of the happiness of closely cutting off the world of Yama. I dedicate this for the sake of completely cutting off birth in all the remaining lower realms. Similarly, applying this, I dedicate this for the sake of increasing the faith of those sentient beings in unsurpassed Bodhi. I dedicate this for the sake of obtaining the superior thought of the mind of the All-Knowing One. I dedicate this for the sake of not abandoning all the Buddha's teachings. I dedicate this for the sake of accomplishing the great bliss of the All-Knowing One. I dedicate this for the sake of completely purifying all sentient beings. I dedicate this for the sake of all sentient beings realizing infinite wisdom. Similarly, applying this, all Bodhisattvas are endowed with focus on the All-Knowing One, and endowed with the mind of benefiting and bringing happiness to all sentient beings. Similarly, applying this, they are endowed with the mind of completely protecting all beings, constantly striving for the root of virtue, reversing pride and carelessness. Similarly, applying this, turning their backs on all defilements, they are endowed with the mind of following all Bodhisattvas, and not deceiving the path and intentions of the All-Knowing One.

Even giving a handful of rice or a bit of lees to one's own cattle and other beings who have gone to the realm of animals, all of that is dedicated so that it may benefit them in those rebirths and completely liberate them. May these beings be completely dedicated to be liberated from the realm of animals, from the ocean of suffering, from the approach of suffering, from the aggregate of suffering, from the feeling of suffering, from the accumulation of suffering, from the manifestation of suffering, from the source of suffering, from the root of suffering, from the place of suffering.
