Furthermore, following and initiating roots of virtue, this is also initiating, this is his perfection of diligence. When abandoning the body, not forgetting the precious mind of generating the mind for omniscience, and looking at enlightenment itself, and individually knowing peace and extreme peace, this is his perfection of meditation. When cutting the body, individually knowing the body as grass, walls, trees, stones, and illusions, and causing the body to enter the nature of illusion, truly knowing impermanence, truly knowing suffering, truly knowing selflessness, and truly knowing peace, this is his perfection of wisdom. Connect in this way. Furthermore, he thinks thus: This sentient being is lazy, separated from virtuous Dharma, he will expose my faults and insult me. I should initiate diligence, not being satisfied with thoroughly seeking roots of virtue, first causing this sentient being to abide in the essence of enlightenment, and later I will manifest the unsurpassed perfect enlightenment. Thinking thus and donning armor, this is his perfection of diligence. Connect in this way. For sentient beings who are untamed, unpacified, unhidden, and not nearly pacified, for the sake of these sentient beings, I don the great armor, thus resolving to settle the mind in the mind, this is his perfection of meditation. Connect in this way. I should rely on the nature of Dharma, after thinking thus, when he thoroughly seeks who is the one who insults and is angry, that Dharma of insult and anger is unattainable. Because he cannot attain self and others, therefore he endures by being separated from the view of attachment, this is his perfection of wisdom. The Blessed Mother also said thus: I should abandon the disputes of all sentient beings. Do I personally dispute? If I repeat what has been said, I will discover undiscovered faults. How should I become a bridge for all sentient beings? Should I say words like "you" to others, or harsh words? This is my

One should not speak; in fights and debates, I should be like a corpse, silent like a sheep. When hearing words of abuse or malicious slander from others, one should not harbor resentment in one's heart. If others generate faults towards me, that is not part of my good qualities. If I regard the faults of others as the same as mine, that is not my duty. Why? I should not disturb my mind. Like this, I should bring happiness to all sentient beings, all sentient beings should be happy, and I should manifest complete enlightenment for the sake of unsurpassed, perfectly complete enlightenment, thereby attaining liberation from suffering. How can I harbor resentment towards that? Even if extremely evil deeds are done, one should not harbor resentment towards others, otherwise, would I become foolish? This is what I should do; I should steadfastly practice patience. Even when facing life-threatening danger, I should not be shaken. I should not display an angry expression; I should make such a vow. In the Pratimoksha Sutra of the Bodhisattva, it also says: To those angry sentient beings, give comfort, make their hearts rejoice, ask for forgiveness, be compliant with them, and satisfy them with the Dharma. In the Compendium of Trainings, it says: The Ninth Chapter on Patience. Like this, having abided in patience, one should diligently engage in listening to the Dharma, otherwise, listening to the Dharma will become futile. As it is said in the Moon Lamp Sutra: No matter how much Dharma one has practiced, if one is complacent from hearing and does not guard the precepts, the one who breaks the precepts will fall into the lower realms, and no amount of hearing can save him. The praise of extensive hearing is mentioned in the Sutra Requested by Anavatapta's Son: Noble son, if one possesses hearing, wisdom will arise. If one possesses wisdom, afflictions will be completely pacified. Without afflictions, the demon will not find an opportunity. Furthermore, the great sage extensively narrated the Jataka tales of the supreme guru. Bodhisattva Mahasattva
