Having done deeds, and having caused others to do them, and rejoicing in those who are doing them; and taking hold of the path of the ten non-virtuous actions and acting, and causing others to act, and rejoicing in what others have done; and whatever obscurations of karma have obscured sentient beings, so that they go to hell, or go to the realm of animals and the realm of Yama, or are born among the barbarians of the borderlands, or are born as long-lived gods, or become deficient in faculties, and completely holding wrong views, and the obscurations of karma that do not please the Buddhas who appear, may all of these be transformed into wisdom, become eyes, become witnesses, become reliable sources, before the Buddhas, the Bhagavad-Tathagatas, who know and see, I confess each and every one. I admit it! I do not conceal it! And in the future, I will also keep my vows. May those Buddhas, the Bhagavad-Tathagatas, pay attention to me. Whatever little I have given, even a mouthful of food or drink, in this life and other lives, and from beginningless time in samsara, even in the animal realm; and whatever vows I have kept; and whatever roots of virtue I have from abiding in pure conduct; and whatever roots of virtue I have from maturing sentient beings; and whatever roots of virtue I have from the mind of enlightenment; and whatever roots of virtue I have from unsurpassed wisdom, all of these I gather together, pile up, collect, and manifestly gather together, and I completely dedicate them to the unsurpassed, supreme teacher, the unsurpassed, perfectly complete enlightenment. Just as the Buddhas, the Bhagavad-Tathagatas of the past, have dedicated, and just as the Buddhas, the Bhagavad-Tathagatas of the future, will dedicate, and just as the Buddhas, the Bhagavad-Tathagatas who appear in the present, dedicate, so too do I dedicate. I confess all sins individually. I rejoice in all merits. I pray to all the Buddhas. May I become unsurpassed wisdom. To all the supreme among humans, the victorious ones, who are now dwelling, and who have passed away, and who have not yet come, the ocean-like qualities of endless praise.

Having made the mudra, I take refuge (in you). Those Bodhisattvas who possess the power of compassion, who act for the benefit of brave beings, may they protect me, a helpless sinner. I take refuge in those Bodhisattvas. Shariputra, this is how Bodhisattvas are. By contemplating on these thirty-five Buddhas and all the Tathagatas, all sins will be purified. Thus, having purified all sins, the Buddhas, the Bhagavat, will personally appear in order to liberate sentient beings. Similarly, in order to ripen the confused ordinary people, although various different words and phrases may appear, they will not deviate from the realm of Dharma. Similarly, add the mudra. The Bodhisattva, day and night, holding and reciting the names of those Buddhas, the Bhagavat, and reading the categories of the Three Skandhas Sutra, arising from the repentance of sins, and also obtaining Samadhi, all these are places of repentance that cannot be purified by all the Hearers and Solitary Buddhas, thus the Buddha said. The method of refuting evil deeds has been explained. Now, the method of counteracting evil deeds will be explained. By relying on the profound Sutras, sins can also be exhausted. As it is said in the Vajracchedika: "Good men or good women, if they take up, hold, recite, and fully understand these Sutra texts, they will be punished, they will be greatly punished. Why is that? Subhuti, the evil deeds of these beings in their previous lives should have led them to be born in evil realms, but because of the punishment they receive in this life, the evil deeds of their previous lives are purified, and they will eventually attain Buddhahood." Thus the Buddha said. Believing in emptiness also purifies sins, as it is said in the Tathagatagarbha Sutra: "Light Protector, if someone is both a father and a Pratyekabuddha, killing him is the worst of all killings. For example:"
