Keeper of the Discipline, if any monk, with anger or authority, disciplines or instructs those places of offering that possess discipline, then that unwholesome action will cause beings to go to hell. If they come to the human world, they will become slaves or work for others, and will encounter being beaten with fists, slaps, and instruments. Similarly, if a monk is punished, threatened, intimidated, ordered at the wrong time, or instructed at the wrong time, then that unwholesome action will cause them to be born in a hell for short-lived beings called "Many Pegs," where their bodies will be pierced by thousands of pegs, burning, intensely burning, and completely burning. Similarly, the size of their tongue will become a hundred yojanas, and that organ of their tongue will be pierced by a hundred thousand burning iron pegs. Keeper of the Discipline, if any monk gathers and stores the possessions of the Sangha, does not distribute them on time, is stingy and only gives a little, or does not give to some, then that root of unwholesomeness will cause them to be born in a place of hungry ghosts called "Mud Swallowing." There, if other hungry ghosts take food and show it to them, when it is shown, their eyes will not close, but they will stare at the food, experiencing the suffering of being afflicted by hunger and thirst, and even after a hundred thousand years, they will not obtain that food. It is said that even if they obtain the food in a hundred out of a hundred cases, it will turn into vomit, pus, and blood. From the "Narrative of the Realization of the Sangha Protector" it is also said that there are harms. Sangha Protector, those beings that you see that are like walls, they were formerly monks, and because they defiled the walls of the Sangha with snot, due to the ripening of that action, they became like walls. Sangha Protector, those beings that you see that are like pillars, they were also formerly monks, and because they defiled the pillars of the Sangha with snot, therefore they became like pillars. Sangha Protector, those beings that you see that are like trees and leaves

Those beings you see that are like trees, flowers, and fruits were formerly monks. Because they fully used the Sangha's trees, leaves, flowers, and fruits for personal use, they became like trees, leaves, flowers, and fruits. Those beings you see that are like ropes and brooms were formerly monks. Because they fully used the Sangha's ropes and brooms for personal use, they became like ropes and brooms. The being you see that is like a basin was formerly a novice monk. He was washing a basin when some monks suddenly arrived. Seeing him, they asked, "Novice, is there any drink for the Sangha today?" He, controlled by a miserly mind, said, "Don't you see I'm washing the basin? It's already been drunk." They thought the time had passed, felt disappointed, and left with downcast and dejected faces. That is the result of that karma, which caused him to become like a basin. The being you see that is like a pestle was also formerly a monk. At that time, an event concerning alms bowls occurred. A novice monk was in charge of managing the affairs of an Arhat, and when it was his turn to be on duty, he said to him, "Novice, please grind a little grain for me." The novice said, "Venerable, I am busy, please wait a moment. I will grind it later and offer it to you." He became angry and said, "Novice, if I could touch the pestle, I would put you inside the pestle and grind you, let alone grind a little grain!" The novice realized that he was very angry, and thinking that if he answered him, he would become even more angry, he remained silent. When he was no longer angry, he went to him and said, "Venerable, do you know who I am?" He said, "I know, you are a novice who has renounced in the teachings of the Buddha Kashyapa. I am a venerable monk." The novice said, "Even so,
