Those who came due to circumstances, and those who heard of the Bodhisattva's generosity and past aspirations, and those who were entertained as guests with the Bodhisattva's generosity and aspiration mind, and upon seeing sentient beings who hoped for all to be given away, to those who came begging with a begging mind that could not be satisfied even with a picture, with a mind of asking for forgiveness, he himself went to those directions and said, 'In order not to let your coming become a source of affliction, let's draw a picture.' Thus, he touched his head to the ground and asked for forgiveness. Having asked for forgiveness from all the beggars, bathed and rested his body, he then gave appropriate items. For example, a jeweled chariot filled with the finest jewel maidens in Jambudvipa, for example, a golden chariot filled with pure jewel maidens of the country, for example, a beryl chariot filled with those who play melodious songs and harmonious instruments, similarly, giving crystal chariots filled with maidens who are as beautiful as jewels, adorned with beautiful ornaments, pleasing in appearance, and skilled in manners, so it was said. Similarly, in that very text, it says: Jeweled elephant chariots covered with nets of all kinds of precious elephants, and trainers who are harmonious and consistent, are generously given. A sandalwood chariot with jewel spokes and rims, with a jewel lion throne erected, covered with various jewel umbrellas, adorned with banners and flags on all four sides, thoroughly fumigated with various incenses, well-anointed with all kinds of incense essences, with flower arrangements spread out, drawn by hundreds and thousands of maidens with jewel ropes, proceeding without turning back or changing, arriving without haste or excess, emanating a pleasant and harmonious fragrance, and with sons and daughters engaging in intimate conversation, cleansed by scattering various incense powders, are given, so it was said. Similarly, Furthermore, in that very text, it also says: Is it giving oneself to all sentient beings? Or offering to all Buddhas for service? Or completely giving away the kingdom? Or the city? Or

Or a city, or a king's palace adorned with all ornaments, or all the servants are completely given to the beggars according to their needs. Are sons, daughters, and wives given to the beggars? Starting from giving away all possessions, all enjoyments and pleasures are given away. Similarly, when a Bodhisattva gives drinks and tastes, various kinds of wide, clean, and different drinks, with various excellent tastes such as sweet, sour, astringent, and salty, which are very satisfying, have many delicious and palatable tastes, can harmonize various discomforts, show the strength of body and mind, generate joy, love, and great joy, as well as happiness, and further eliminate harm to others, pacify all diseases, and generate health. Similarly, giving clothes, giving flowers, giving incense, giving perfume, giving garlands, giving bedding, giving shelter, giving support, giving lamps, giving medicine for illness, and various kinds of food, abundantly arranged, these are what the Bodhisattva gives. Various kinds of plates made with various crafts, adorned with countless kinds of vessels, and powders of gold, silver, and copper, when offered to the Buddhas, the Blessed Ones, faith arises in the inconceivable places of giving. If a Bodhisattva offers these to the Three Jewels, he offers them with a mind of reverence for the virtuous friend who is extremely difficult to find. If offering to the noble Sangha, it is offered for the sake of relying closely on the Buddha's teachings. If offering to ordinary people, Shravakas, or Pratyekabuddhas, it is offered with a mind of great joy in the qualities of the noble ones. If giving to parents, it is given with the mind of serving and respecting the Guru. If offering to the Khenpo, Guru, and those places of giving, one enters into the teachings of the Guru. If giving clothes and food to the poor, the afflicted, and the beggars, it is given with eyes free from anger towards all sentient beings, and with the complete cultivation of loving-kindness. Similarly, combine it, then.
