Or Pratyekabuddha vehicle practitioners, or sons or daughters of the family of the Hearer vehicle practitioners, whoever rejoices in the generation of Bodhicitta, they will quickly please the Tathagata Arhat Samyaksambuddhas, and will not displease them. Thus, the roots of virtue of Bodhicitta arising from the Sutra of Rejoicing, wherever they are born, will become head ornaments, will become teachers, will become images, will become offerings, will be remembered, and will be prayed to. They will not see unpleasant forms. They will not hear unpleasant sounds. Likewise, there will be no smells or tastes, and touch will not be touched. It should be known that they will not be born in the lower realms. It should be known that they will be born in the heavens. Why is that? Because these sentient beings rejoice in the roots of virtue of countless sentient beings, who bring happiness to all those sentient beings. After they attain the unsurpassed perfect enlightenment and become fully enlightened, they will completely liberate countless and immeasurable sentient beings from suffering. Again, it is said therein, "Subhuti! If all the sentient beings in a world system of three thousand great thousands, as many as the sands of the Ganges, were to abide in unsurpassed perfect enlightenment, and having abided in unsurpassed perfect enlightenment, they were to enter the fourth dhyana with intentional conceptualization for as many kalpas as the sands of the Ganges, it would be better than a Bodhisattva Mahasattva who is endowed with this Perfection of Wisdom and skillful means.

Gathering together all the aggregates of the Hearer's discipline, concentration, wisdom, liberation, and the vision of the wisdom of liberation, making them complete and vast, and rejoicing in all of them with the supreme rejoicing, and for the principal, sacred, excellent, supreme, abundant, guru, unsurpassed, guru of gurus, unequaled, unequal and equal, and incomparable ones, the merit of rejoicing that arises from the moment of rejoicing is also completely dedicated to the unsurpassed perfect complete enlightenment. O Fortunate One, for this object of merit arising from the moment of rejoicing, the merit of the four concentrations of a Bodhisattva with an object, the former does not even come close to one hundredth part, and even the cause is unbearable, so it is said. This very method is also taught for dedication. The benefit of making requests is that, in the question asked by the Fierce One, it is said that in order to fully grasp the Dharma, life will be completely transformed in immeasurable and countless Buddha-fields. The seventeenth chapter of the benefits of prostrations, etc., from the Compendium of Trainings. It has already been explained that merit increases through the discipline of the Good Conduct and so on. This is also another cause of this, namely, whatever is the constant practice of faith and so on. As it is said in the Secret Sutra of the Thus-Gone One, O Great King, these four dharmas are such that those who have truly entered the Great Vehicle will not decline and will become extraordinary. What are the four? O Great King, faith does not decline and becomes extraordinary. What is faith? Faith is that by which one can approach the noble ones and not do what should not be done. O Great King, reverence becomes extraordinary, and reverence is that by which one can respectfully listen to the well-spoken words of the noble ones and listen attentively to the Dharma. O Great King, absence of pride becomes extraordinary, and absence of pride is that by which one can show respect, extreme respect, and prostrate to the noble ones. O Great King,

Diligence is what becomes special. Through diligence, one obtains lightness of body and mind, and all activities are brought under control. Great King, these four dharmas are such that those who have correctly entered the Great Vehicle will not decline and will become special. One should always familiarize oneself with these, such as faith. Or to other things such as faith. As it is said in the Sutra of Inexhaustible Intelligence: O son of Sharadvati, other Bodhisattvas' five faculties are inexhaustible. What are the five faculties? They are the faculty of faith, the faculty of diligence, the faculty of mindfulness, the faculty of samadhi, and the faculty of wisdom. What is the faculty of faith? It is the faith that one has in the four dharmas. What are the four? They are: to have faith in the worldly right view that is practiced in samsara, which shows the ripening of karma. Whatever virtuous or non-virtuous actions are done, one will experience their ripening. Even for the sake of one's life, one does not commit non-virtuous actions. To have faith in the conduct of a Bodhisattva, and having entered into that conduct, one does not generate desire for other vehicles. To analyze all dharmas, the profound definitive meaning of ultimate truth, dependent arising, selflessness, absence of sentient beings, absence of life, absence of a nourisher, and absence of a person. To have faith in the characteristics of emptiness, signlessness, and wishlessness, and not to allow all views to lie dormant. To have faith in all the Buddha's dharmas, such as powers and fearlessness, and because of faith, to be free from doubt and hesitation, and to truly accomplish those Buddha's dharmas. This is called the faculty of faith. What is the faculty of diligence? It is to truly accomplish the dharmas that one has faith in through the faculty of faith, through the faculty of diligence. This is called the faculty of diligence. What is the faculty of mindfulness? It is not to forget the dharmas that one has truly accomplished through the faculty of diligence, through the faculty of mindfulness. This is called the faculty of mindfulness.
