The intention is to say that alcohol is given as it becomes a means. As for weapons and so on, if it seems that they will not cause harm, their weight should also be measured. If they are given, there is no downfall, which is obvious from this itself. The Sutra Pitaka generally speaks of prohibition. The aspect of pure giving has only been discussed this far. Pure morality is as stated in the Arya Akashagarbha Sutra: For the sake of purifying sentient beings, not separating from the mind of enlightenment; for the sake of purifying those who have become reliable, not having the mind of hearers and solitary realizers, and so on. Furthermore, pure morality is the purity of space, and that morality is also pure. Space is without stain, and that morality is also without stain. Space is peaceful, and that morality is also peaceful. Space is invisible, and that morality is also invisible. Space is not low, and that morality is also not low, up to space is not cut or divided, and that morality is also not cut or divided, and so on. Space has no hatred, and the patience of having no hatred towards all sentient beings is completely pure; space is equal union, and the patience of having an equal mind towards all sentient beings is completely pure, and so on. For example, there is a large grove of Sala trees, and someone comes and cuts down the Sala trees. The remnants of the Sala trees that have been cut down do not think, "These have been cut down, I have been cut down." They have no attachment to them, no anger, no discrimination, and no complete discrimination. Similarly, whatever patience is, the patience of a Bodhisattva is the supreme of complete purity, equal to space. As extensively stated in the Arya Ratnachuda Sutra, this is called the perfection of diligence. What is its complete purity? That which does not cling to the body and knows it as an image, knows it as unspeakable, knows it as very close and peaceful to sentient beings. Similarly, wearing the armor of great love, abiding in the place of great compassion, one meditates by realizing emptiness with the aspect of possessing all supreme aspects. Among them, all aspects

What is the emptiness that possesses all the supreme aspects? From the perfection of generosity to the perfection of skillful means, without exception; great love, compassion, joy, and equanimity, without exception; entering into the knowledge of truth, without exception; the mind of enlightenment looking upon sentient beings, without exception; the union of intention and higher intention, without exception; generosity, kind speech, beneficial action, and acting in accordance with the Dharma, without exception; mindfulness and awareness, without exception; the four mindfulnesses, the four right abandonments; the legs of magical power; the faculties and the powers, the limbs of enlightenment and the noble eightfold path, without exception; calm abiding and insight, without exception. Similarly, combining them, naturally pacified, not pacified by karma and afflictions; equanimous by nature; looking upon all the Buddha's teachings; substantial by its own characteristic; without transformation for the sake of blessing; irreversible by its own nature; always striving for the Buddha's activity; cooled by pacification; always striving to fully ripen sentient beings. This is called the emptiness that possesses all the supreme aspects, up to "Son of lineage, this is the completely pure conduct of the Bodhisattva's meditation perfection." By this, the complete purity of wisdom should also be understood, and it is the same for all merits. From the Compendium of Trainings, the fifteenth chapter, the chapter on the purification of resources and merit. Now, the increase by all three will be explained. Why? Because there are many things to be taken, if this is little, what can it do? It does not generate great satisfaction. Therefore, this should be increased. Great satisfaction is Buddhahood. It does not generate [satisfaction] in sentient beings by the purity that is common to the Hearers. What is the action of increasing the body? It is being without laziness and generating strength. In this regard, strength is spoken of in the Noble Cloud of Jewels Sutra: "If a sentient being is oppressed by the strength of a Bodhisattva, then that sentient being is not in the category of sentient beings."
