did. Similarly, red castes are like high castes, wealthy families and poor castes, and so on. Again, it is said: What is the Dharma that the Blessed One prophesied to be unsurpassed, perfectly complete enlightenment? Is it form? Or feeling? Or perception? Or formation? Or consciousness? Did the Blessed One prophesy that something would be unsurpassed, perfectly complete enlightenment? Thinking this, they think to themselves: Form is not what the Blessed One prophesied to be unsurpassed, perfectly complete enlightenment, and so on, up to consciousness. Why is that? Form is unborn, and enlightenment is unborn. How can what is unborn be fully awakened to what is unborn? Likewise, consciousness should be understood in the same way. Similarly, if all Dharmas are imperceptible, then who is the Buddha? Who is the Bodhisattva? What is enlightenment? What is prophecy? Form is emptiness of form, and so on, up to consciousness. Similarly, these are merely terms, merely names, merely expressions, merely conventions, merely utterances, merely designations. The wise should not cling to them. Again, it is said in the same text: The gods of the Joyful Realm requested: As we understand the meaning of what the Blessed One said, all Dharmas are the ultimate truth, the ultimate absence of obscurations, the ultimate infinity, the ultimate non-abiding, and so on. Blessed One, all Dharmas are without inherent existence, and we understand enlightenment well. Even the five heinous crimes are enlightenment. Why is that? Blessed One, enlightenment is without inherent existence, and the five heinous crimes are also without inherent existence. Therefore, the five heinous crimes are also enlightenment. Blessed One, those who seek complete Nirvana are of the nature of harm. Why is that? If one enters Samsara, then one can also seek Nirvana. Furthermore, the gods of the Paranirmitavasavartin realm requested: Blessed One,

Regarding what the earth god Delightful Deva said about the "ultimate of reality," we have not even realized reality itself, let alone its ultimate. Why is that? O Blessed One, if someone realizes reality, then the ultimate will also be realized by them. This is called dualistic grasping. From that very text, it is said: The praise of the teacher by the owner of the unsparing one. Just as a person becomes hungry in a dream, and becomes full by eating hundreds of flavors of food. For him, there is no hunger, no food, no sentient being. Just like in a dream, he sees all the dharmas. If someone speaks pleasing words, although one may feel happy, there is no change in the words themselves. The words themselves do not exist, nor is there anything that makes one happy. One who understands this has no doubts. If one listens to the sound of a lute and a harp, it is pleasing to the ear, but the sound itself has no inherent nature. Likewise, when a wise person observes this aggregate, they cannot find any inherent nature of the aggregate. Just as a person hears the sound of a conch shell and investigates where this sound comes from, but cannot find the object that is empty of inherent nature. O King of Men, you also see all dharmas in the same way. Just as a person examines how limbs and life benefit from blessed food. In reality, there are no limbs, and life is the same. The great sage also sees all dharmas in the same way. Just as a person sees a rainbow in the sky, examines the limbs, and investigates its nature, it is empty because it has no inherent nature. Like a rainbow, those limbs are also empty. Great sage, you also see all dharmas in the same way. Even if one observes all the limbs of the best city, one cannot find the inherent nature of the city, nor can one find the name. Just like the city, those limbs are empty. O King of Men, you also see all dharmas in the same way. If someone beats a drum for joy, although joy arises, the inherent nature of the sound is empty. Like the sound, its limbs are also empty. O King of Men, you also see all dharmas in the same way. When someone beats a drum, the sound does not move in any direction, nor does it arise. Likewise, the sound does not disappear in any direction. O King of Men, you also see all dharmas in the same way. When someone beats a drum, the sound is unobstructed and pleasing to the ear. Like the sound, its limbs are also its inherent nature. O King of Men, you
