Emptiness, not referring to what is unfilled, not referring to what is filled with skin, flesh, and blood. What is it then? For this body, the inside of the eye, or the ear, or the inside of the nose, or the mouth or the inside of the mouth, or the opening of the mouth, or the throat, or the esophagus, or swallowing from anywhere, and where it is located, and what is eaten, drunk, chewed, and tasted flows downward, and anything else that is close to, touches, becomes a skandha, becomes a realm, becomes an ayatana in the inner cavity of this body, are emptiness, the aspect of emptiness, not unfilled, not filled with skin, flesh, and blood, belonging to the inner void and holes, these are called the inner space element. What is the outer space element? Whatever it may be, the outer space and the aspect of space, not unfilled, not filled with form, unmixed, becoming voids and holes, this is called the outer space element. Great King, due to the cause of karma, the time when the ayatanas arise exists. They all revolve around the space element. Although it belongs to the inner space element, it does not come from anywhere. Great King, when the form disintegrates, the time when everything becomes space exists. Why is that? Because the space element is inexhaustible. In that case, the inner space element is abiding and unmoving. Great King, for example, the unconditioned is the nature of Nirvana, similarly, the space element should also be seen as pervading everything. Great King, for example, if a person digs a well or a pond or a long well or a pool on the ground, Great King, what do you think? Where did the space there come from? He replied: Blessed One, it did not come from anywhere. Great King, for example, if the space from the well to the pond is filled back with earth, Great King, what do you think? Where did the space there go? He replied: Blessed One, it did not go anywhere. Why is that? Because the space element is not close to going or coming. Women's property

It is because it does not abide close to male and female things. The Buddha said: Great King, in that case, the external realm of space is unmoving and unchanging. Why is that? The realm of space is empty by the realm of space and is separate from the realm of space. The realm of space does not abide close to female things, nor does it abide close to male things. Therefore, understand it as it is, with correct wisdom! Great King, what is that realm of consciousness? The eye faculty is the master, form is the object, distinguishing various forms, that is, distinguishing blue, or distinguishing yellow, red, and variegated colors, or distinguishing long and short, thick and thin. Great King, whatever it may be, distinguishing color and shape, this is called the eye consciousness realm. Similarly, whatever it may be, the ear faculty is the master, up to the mind faculty is the master, dharma is the object, distinguishing sound, or distinguishing smell, or distinguishing taste, or distinguishing awareness, or distinguishing dharma, this is from the ear consciousness realm to the mind consciousness realm. Thus, the six faculties are the masters, the six objects are the objects, distinguishing the objects, this is called the consciousness realm. Great King, that consciousness realm does not rely on the faculties, does not come from the objects, nor does it abide in the middle. It is not inside, nor is it outside, nor is it neither. That consciousness realm ceases after distinguishing various things. When it arises, it does not come from anywhere, and when it ceases, it does not go anywhere. The arising of that consciousness realm is also empty, and the ceasing is also empty. The arising of that consciousness realm is also empty by nature. Great King, in that case, apart from terminology, that consciousness realm is empty by the consciousness realm itself. That terminology is neither male nor female. Therefore, understand it as it is, with correct wisdom! Great King, what is the eye source?
