Just as one eventually reaches the ocean of death, like a house that appears suddenly, becoming the place of all suffering, like a helpless dwelling, completely ungraspable, like a prison guard, one must treat it with respect. Similarly, one must always take complete care of it as if it were a small child. Thus it is said. It is also said: Like this, for this impure heap of a body, who cherishes and holds dear the pride of form? That one with the mind of a child, manifestly, carries a shameful and foul-smelling pot of vomit and walks. From his nose flows pus, and from his mouth constantly comes an unpleasant odor. The mouths, lips, and eyes of beings are like worms. Who would be attached to and cherish that? For example, a child takes coal and says, "This will be made white," and although he polishes it, it will not become a white object, but will be exhausted. The child's mind perversely appears and is conceited. Likewise, whoever has the wisdom of cleanliness, saying, "My body will be made clean," even if he anoints, wipes, and bathes on hundreds of steps, it will be exhausted by the power of the Lord of Death and will not become clean. The Bodhisattva should thus contemplate the destruction of the body and the dripping from the nine orifices, until the Bodhisattva's body is a dwelling place for eighty-four thousand kinds of worms. Similarly, the Bodhisattva should contemplate the body as food for wolves, foxes, dogs, raw meat eaters, and other beings. The Bodhisattva should contemplate the body as bones and tendons intertwined and connected, like a wheel. The Bodhisattva should contemplate the body as arising from food and drink, not from oneself. The extensive details can be known from there. Regarding the mindfulness of feelings, as it is said in the "Noble Jewel Peak Sutra": "Son of good family, the Bodhisattva, with regard to feelings, cultivating the mindfulness of feelings by observing feelings, will develop great compassion for beings who dwell in feelings." Therefore, it is taught that for one who has no feeling, that is happiness. Therefore, in order to abandon the feelings of all beings, one cultivates the mindfulness of feelings by observing feelings.

Having donned armor to prevent the feelings of sentient beings, it also does not prevent my feelings. Whatever feelings he experiences, all those feelings are completely grasped and experienced with great compassion. When he experiences a feeling of happiness, he finds great compassion for sentient beings who indulge in desire, and also completely abandons the latent part of my desire. When he experiences a feeling of suffering, he finds great compassion for sentient beings who indulge in hatred, and also completely abandons the latent part of my hatred. When he experiences a feeling that is neither happiness nor suffering, he finds great compassion for sentient beings who indulge in ignorance, and also thoroughly abandons the latent part of my ignorance. He will not become attached to the feeling of happiness, and will also destroy attachment well. He will also not become angry at the feeling of suffering, and will also destroy anger well. He will also not become unwise about the feeling that is neither suffering nor happiness, and will also destroy ignorance well. Whatever feelings he experiences, he knows and experiences that all of these are impermanent. He knows and experiences that it is suffering. He knows and experiences that it is without self. He will recognize the feeling of happiness as impermanent. He will recognize the feeling of suffering as like an arrow. He will recognize the feeling that is neither suffering nor happiness as peaceful. Therefore, whatever is happiness is impermanent. Whatever is suffering is suffering itself. Whatever is neither happiness nor suffering is without self, and so on, as it is said. Noble Intelligence In the Sutra of Inexhaustible Intelligence, it is also said: When touched by a feeling of suffering, he generates great compassion for all sentient beings who arise from sickness, old age, and discomfort. Combine it in this way, feeling is attachment. Feeling is completely grasping. Feeling is closely acquiring. Feeling is the object. Feeling is inverted. Feeling is discrimination, and so on, as it is said. In the Sutra of the Collection of True Dharma
