If blown out, how do you think, Light Protector? Darkness, pitch black, do you think like this, I have accumulated for hundreds of millions of years, I will not leave from here, do you think like that? Pray, Blessed One, that is not how it is thought, blowing out the lamp, darkness, pitch black, there is no ability to reach, not knowing, it will not happen. The Blessed One said: Light Protector, similarly, becoming karma and afflictions, even if accumulated for hundreds of millions of years, can be eliminated by one individual observation of proper attention. Light Protector, the so-called lamp, is the supreme word of the noble wisdom's自在. Light Protector, the so-called darkness, pitch black, is the supreme word of karma and afflictions. Also, it is said in that: Light Protector, with one individual observation of proper attention, can purify the karma and afflictions accumulated for hundreds of millions of kalpas. Therefore, the meaning of asking and reading is said to be small. Some say that living at home, doing good deeds, attaining Bodhi, relying on the monastery, there is no need to practice Shamatha and Vipassana. In response to this, it is explained in the Sutra of Moon Lamp: Desires are excellent reliance, generating attachment to sons and wives, relying on the condemnable home, one cannot obtain the unsurpassed and supreme Bodhi. Whoever abandons heavy desires like dry flames, abandons attachment to sons and wives, fearing the family, from the family previously appeared. Those people, it is not difficult to obtain this supreme Bodhi. Whoever lives at home, yet can obtain this supreme Bodhi, such a Buddha has never appeared before, and will not appear in the future, will not exist. Abandoning the kingdom like the dust of saliva, desiring solitude, living in the monastery, abandoning afflictions, destroying the army of demons, attaining the stainless, uncontaminated, unconditioned Bodhi. Whoever greatly desires Bodhi, is tired of conditioned evil deeds, for the manifestation of sentient beings, taking seven steps towards the monastery, this is more excellent merit than that. Whoever has no joy and no displeasure, those people's human world is always very happy. Whoever likes dwellings and caves, is a practitioner.

Now, great happiness will be experienced. Those who have nothing to possess. Those who have no guardians in any way. Living in this world like a rhinoceros horn. They walk like the wind in the sky. Those who are not attached to the world. They are very happy in the human world. Those who are not attached to happiness and unhappiness. They always have a mind like the wind here. Those who are separated from suffering and friendship, and those who do not like the existence of suffering. After completely abandoning these two extremes. Anyone who likes the Dharma is happy. Again, it is said: After completely abandoning all the collections of sins. Yogis always do very little. Yogis strive and never quarrel. The benefit of living in a monastery is: He is always disgusted with compound things. He has no desire for anything in the world. Defilements will not increase. The benefit of living in the forest is: He will never quarrel. Always peaceful, happy, and solitary. Body, speech, and mind are completely restrained. There are many virtues in living in a monastery. This is in accordance with liberation. He quickly realizes liberation and peace. If one lives in the forest and takes liberation as a basis. All these virtues arise from living in a monastery. Thus it is said. Again, it is said from there: Abandon the love of towns and cities. Always rely on solitude and forests. Like a rhinoceros horn, always be non-dual. Before long, you will attain this supreme samadhi. Thus it is said. It is also said in the Sutra Requested by the Noble Dhritarashtra: Bound by conditions, abandoning the boundless family, always do not abandon wealth. Those who have virtues like monasteries and subdue the senses. They do not associate with women anywhere. Living alone like a rhinoceros, those with pure minds are without defilement. Those who have attained do not rejoice in what they have attained, and those who have attained do not become discouraged. Those with few desires are happy with just a little, and abandon hypocrisy and pretense. Working for sentient beings, striving, being wise, and abiding in giving and taming. Seeking the wisdom of the Buddha, meditation, effort, and virtue paramitas. Disregarding body and life, abandoning disgusting limbs. Thinking like a diamond
