It is also said to be pacified. It is close to pacification because feeling is cut off. It enters into equanimity because there is no antidote. It is unborn because there is no cause. It is non-existent because the result is not achieved. It is extremely non-existent because it is separated from its own nature. It is also called Nirvana because it abandons suffering. Another name is that by abandoning the accumulation of clinging to all dharmas as self, one believes in no-self, and thus naturally ceases. Clinging to a person is because it does not exist by itself. In the stage of heat, one also realizes one aspect of the selflessness of dharmas, and thus obtains the appearance of non-discrimination, so it is close to pacification, because it has abandoned the distinction of ignorance. In the peak stage, those distinctions of selflessness are further increased, so the incompatible is pacified. In the stage of patience, because of the distinction of selflessness, one realizes one aspect, so one enters into equanimity. In the stage of the supreme dharma of the world, because one immediately obtains the samadhi of realizing the path of seeing, it is unborn, that is, it is free from addition and subtraction. In the path of seeing, because one realizes that the realm of dharma is all-pervasive, one sees that one does not cling to the result and that there is no arising. On the path of meditation, because one makes the meaning of what one has seen familiar, it is extremely non-existent, just like refining gold. On the path of no more learning, because one has reached the ultimate, one sees Nirvana, and thus realizes the correct view of transcendence. Other names, the path of seeing, which is included in the uninterrupted path and the path of liberation, has eight moments, eight. Because it is included in the four truths, it is four, four, four, four. These are also included in two, namely two, two, two, two, two, two, two, two, and these should be combined in sequence with seeing the cessation of self-nature, etc., because it is said so in the Prajnaparamita Sutra. Other names, when in equanimity, realizing that the nature of dharma form, etc., is ceased, this is seeing the reality of things as they are with true wisdom. What is cessation? It is close to pacification, that is, it is separated by meditation. Separation by meditation itself.

What is quiescence? It is complete quiescence, because of abandoning latent tendencies. What is the abandonment of latent tendencies itself? It is entering into equipoise, the cessation of the continuum of signs. What is the cessation of the continuum of signs itself? As previously stated, it is unborn and unarisen. What is unborn and unarisen itself? It is extreme non-arising, that is, complete separation. What is complete separation? It is nirvana, because the continuum of feeling has ceased. This should be explained. Thus, through realization by the wisdom that practices in this way, even that which sees is called conceptualization. "By what" means by wisdom itself. Seeing is in the manner of not seeing. Realization means to investigate. Because of being separated from the perception of signs, it is said to be in any way. "Whoever does not grasp dharmas, and because they do not see those as signs, all are without object, and completely realize wisdom." In this way, it is not seeing and not realizing. What is the benefit of seeing in this way, according to reality? There is no doubt or delusion about any dharma, and so on. "Learning in this way" means to regard it as a benefit. Dharma is grasping characteristics, such as form and so on. Doubt is wavering between two minds. Delusion is not knowing. Obscuration is covering, that is, not seeing emptiness that is separated from the grasped and the grasper. Because everything is known as mind, there is nothing that cannot become a door. Whatever is the cause of samsara, through practicing that, purification is nirvana, and the dharmakaya is also that. This is what the teacher himself said. Moreover, completely knowing samsara is called nirvana. The teacher himself said in the fifth chapter: Just as water is put into water, just as butter is put into butter, with one's own wisdom, complete realization, that is the prostration here. Like this, because of abandonment, there is no effort, because there is no observation of what is to be abandoned. Realizing what is to be realized is without effort, because of observing what is to be obtained, the antidote to afflictions is merely investigation. Because it is so, it is said "seeing correctly" and so on, because it is not inverted, it is correct, it is seeing things as real.
