Some study wisdom for fame, relying on fame because they haven't seen the reality. If they say they have seen the reality, it's like seeing (fame) because it's not a valid means of knowledge. If fame is uncertain, then it's because a valid means of knowledge would refute it. If the valid means of knowledge itself is not, then what does it measure, and why wouldn't it become false? For the meaning of the noble ones, some fame, like scripture, does not change. If they say they see through the use of apparent numbers, then why haven't they seen the reality itself? If they say it's not an object, then since that's already admitted, what do the wise argue about? If they say that scripture also relies on it, then why doesn't it rely on reality itself? Without a cause, it's not permissible; what is the cause? Without it, it can't be seen due to its power. Otherwise, it would be too extreme. Therefore, for profound meanings, abandoning old scriptures, holding onto it as one's own is not allowed, as stated in the scriptures. If they say that like gold tested by burning, cutting, and polishing, it should be examined and then taken, then that's not existent, like something non-existent; without the path of accomplishment through realization, those with the eye of Dharma can see. If they say that this also relies on it, then as stated, like a non-causal result, it would be refuted by a valid means of knowledge. The appearance of the path to accomplishment is a sign; without understanding the agent and the object, how can one grasp the hidden? There is no proof for that either. Because of contradiction, what direct perception can grasp it? Because a valid means of knowledge would refute it, the third is also not. If one and many do not appear, then say what exists, self or other? Because of non-apprehension and contradiction, it's not understanding it, and not from it. Since holding onto characteristics is also not established, where is one's own desire? Not one, therefore not many either. Self, other, both, and without cause, existence and so on are impossible to arise; what is the essence and so on? Observation and dependence are not established. Without characteristics and so on, Nagarjuna and Asanga have said. Some who do not understand speak inconsistently. Saying that it's inconsistent, then the profound scriptures become false. What slander is there beyond that? Since there are two meanings, which is false? Abandoning it, what opposite reason is there? If it's said to be for honesty, then it's not false. If it's said to be meaningless, then the second is false. Because of contradiction, it touches the meaning of the scriptures. Those who speak arbitrarily are inconsistent, like relying on the path of an elephant and falling into a pit. Those who rely on the noble ones, which noble one agrees with both of these? Obtaining difficulty, splendor, and destruction, suffering!

The place where ignorance does not arise, like a snake's nest without anything, the first training is completely guarded, with mindfulness and awareness, being cautious, relying on the accomplished school is, the cause of faults is self-view, knowing this, completely abandon it, knowing and familiarizing oneself obtains the result, that cause realizes the profound Dharma of definitive meaning, why not take it as the meaning of the holy? If one is familiar, what is difficult, therefore who? Since one understands suffering as happiness, what is not relied upon without end? Inconceivable, beyond metaphor, the nature of Dharma that cannot be spoken of, there is no need to obtain it in hand, because of immeasurable things like equanimity, the nature of being born in the Brahma realm and, giving brings enjoyment, patience brings form, with discipline, the meaning of the heavenly realm and so on, fame and gain and so on, the ocean is, there is no doubt in this and other places, what was said before is explained in detail, that itself, nature hand and nature three, arrow and eye and merit and, time and merit merit and, nine is the first two accomplish, the third is by what is to be accomplished, the fourth is by the third thing, that accomplishment depends on five and so on, that meaning is to be known by seven, the method of obtaining is said in the eighth, the last merit is the number of those, giving and so on, the six kinds of conduct, in the six, the meaning of the scriptures, the four Dharmas are declared in this way, the great path of the sons of the Victorious One, is taught to the sons of the Victorious One, from the collection and explanation, the merit is accomplished, causing all beings to be victorious, after obtaining the supreme state, the victory banner of the indestructible Dharma is, to the sentient beings who are worthy vessels, may it be shown in a peaceful manner! For the sake of the scribe, counting three thousand verses, and more than fifty beyond that, this is the measure of this, there are ten volumes and fifty verses. "A Summary of Collected Sutras and Treatises, The Jewel Garland of Light," is a summary verse that is well combined with the measure of the scriptures. The explanation of the collected sutras and treatises, made by the teacher Jewel Origin Peaceful, is complete. The Indian Abbot Pandit Black Foot, and the Tibetan translator Bhikshu Tulkrim Gyalwa translated, edited, and finalized it. "A Summary of Collected Sutras and Treatises, The Jewel Garland of Light," made by Jewel Origin Peaceful.
