The Buddhas are spoken of in relation to the two truths. Bodhisattvas are any roots of virtue that are distinguished by desiring the benefit of Buddhas and sentient beings. Here, the roots of virtue arise from generosity, discipline, and meditation. Wrath is hatred. Disdain is contempt. Other examples are shown by saying "someone" and so on. Sentient beings are those with wrong views and so on. A Bodhisattva is a beginner who merely has faith in the Great Vehicle. Rebuke is scolding with words. The eighth is exposing incompleteness due to broken precepts and so on. Damage is striking with sticks, weapons, fists, and so on. If you ask what result is experienced from that cause, it is said that "someone" has been mentioned. Any cause is a cause of broken precepts and livelihood and so on. Disdain is the difference in the accomplishments of sentient beings. Rebuke, as before, is a difference of speech. The fruit of the ripening of the fruit itself is that sentient beings cry out loudly in hell. Great crying out is the name of the fifth place in number. If you ask what kind of suffering is experienced, it is said that a body of five hundred leagues has been spoken of and so on. The suffering itself is symbolized by saying that a burning iron plow has been spoken of. Here, some think that it is the result of disdain and rebuke, not the result of the previous one. The rest should be understood in the same way. The three thousand great thousand worlds are: the four continents and the sun and moon, Mount Meru and the desire gods, a thousand Brahma worlds, a thousand is considered the general root. That thousand is a thousand two thousand, it is the intermediate world. That thousand is a thousand three thousand, they perish and arise together. That's what it says. Taking the basis from the Great Vehicle itself is denying that the Great Vehicle is not the word of the Buddha. The characteristic of the cause of the arising of faults is, if one argues why, the answer is all Tathagatas and so on. Because abandoning the cause destroys the effect, it is unreasonable that harming the Tathagata is a greater fault than harming the Bodhisattva, it is not so.

Its meaning is. The Mahayana is not the word of the Buddha, because it does not enter the Sutra Pitaka, does not appear in the Vinaya Pitaka, and is contrary to the Dharma nature, so it is slander. Because it does not turn back and can refute, it is abandonment. How to abandon the slander against people? As it says, "It is not another Dharma," etc., its meaning is that Dharma and people are not different. Jambudvipa is named after the type of tree, and is the name of the small continent within six thousand five hundred yojanas. In any case, it refers to the precepts, and its meaning is that it is also said of each person's adultery. It refers to each ordinary person. These examples are shown separately by the Bhagavan in consideration of the thoughts of the retinue, but not in terms of the difference of realization, but to all beginners. If asked, what is the connection between these faults and the Bodhisattva vows? Answer: As stated in the "Arya Maitreya Lion's Roar Sutra." If asked, how to prove that he is a beginner? Answer: As stated in the sutra, "If he does not abandon all omniscience." If asked, are afflictions not diverse? Why is it said that hatred will cause sores to grow from the heart and be rebuked? Answer: Bodhisattvas will only fall because of hatred, not because of other afflictions. Because he will completely abandon others, and abandoning others will break the precepts and cut off the roots of virtue. Greed is not like this, because it will gather others, so the Bodhisattva's action is to completely gather others as superior. It is also said in the sutras that the Bodhisattva's downfall arises from hatred. It is also said that there are two types of Bodhisattva's downfall: hatred and ignorance. It is also said that Bodhisattvas who are skilled in means fear hatred; those who are not skilled in means fear the downfall of greed. Therefore, it is only shown that hatred will cause sores, as stated in the "Manjushri Play Sutra." So, how can anger exhaust the roots of virtue? Please give an example. For example, the Bodhisattva speaker, Rabtu Gawa'i Wangpo, and the Bodhisattva Gyalwai Lo.
