Therefore, in order to generate Bodhicitta, one should attain omniscience. Because there is no stain of all obscurations, therefore, through "attaining all aspects of omniscience," one attains omniscience. How to attain it? It is said, "One should perfect all dharmas," powers and so on are dharmas. Because of great joy and wonder, it is said repeatedly, "Good! Good!" The gods rejoice like the Buddha, which means "also." Faith is the faith of desire. Seeking is to engage in union. Wishing is due to the intense desire for the fruit. The actual meaning of rejoicing is to proclaim good names everywhere, which is praise. To honor beforehand is to extol. To have joy even in secret is to rejoice. Since one rejoices in the beginning, middle, and end, three words such as generating joy are spoken. However, why rejoice only in wishing? If someone objects, saying why is this so, then, accepting the objection, wishing is for desiring Buddhahood. Since the merit of entering its cause is the root of other merits, therefore, "thus" and so on are said. If Buddhahood is attained, then its result will be turning the wheel of Dharma and gathering, the rationality of benefit is entering. Some say that the wheel of Dharma refers to the path of seeing. Thus, increasing Bodhicitta with compassion is decreasing, which is the antidote to decline. Therefore, in this very sutra, it is extensively said, great king, you dedicate the roots of virtue to perfect Bodhi three times a day and three times a night, and so on. Inferior cause refers to having little accumulation of merit and wisdom, since that cannot attain perfect Bodhi, therefore, overwhelming it with a vast accumulation of merit and wisdom is saying "when Bodhisattva" and so on. Because of possessing excellent intention, one is not separated from the five types of minds, and is not separated from the mind of omniscience. The five types of minds are the mind of the Hearer, the mind of the Solitary Realizer, the mind that seeks the benefit of humans and gods, the mind that does not give predictions, and the non-virtuous mind.

It refers to the mind that desires humans and gods, and that which is not shown in the scriptures, and the non-virtuous mind. The object of focus is the desire to obtain. Afflictions are miserliness and so on. The six perfections are generosity and so on. Among them, wisdom is the collection of wisdom. The remainder is the collection of merit. Diligence and samadhi are both collections, it is said. Immeasurable qualities are loving-kindness and so on. That which is incompatible with it is hatred and so on, and its antidote is great loving-kindness and so on. Some say that the incompatible aspects are the minds of the Shravakas and so on, for the sake of taming oneself. These antidotes are also the mind of enlightenment, therefore they are shown as benefits. Now, in order to show the difference in the benefits of entering the path, "Manjushri" and so on are spoken. Here, there are five kinds of differences: the benefit of the difference of the individual who is the basis is that ordinary beings can also generate the mind of enlightenment and have the vows of a Bodhisattva. Why is it that, like Manjushri, like a young Kalavinka bird making a sound from inside the egg, even an ordinary being who has a sense of self, even if it has not broken out of the shell and has not come from the three realms, can utter the sound of emptiness, it is said. That which is justified by the reasoning shown earlier is shown by the example of the lion cub. The power of wisdom is to focus on emptiness. Not being complete is being bound by all bonds, and being attached to things as real. Generating the mind is born from convention. Mara is the Mara of the son of the gods. Showing the benefit of the difference in intention is "Ananda" and so on. The activity of the lord of all-knowingness is the mind that possesses entry, therefore it is like the heart, for the sake of the Bodhisattva's survival. With the difference of emptiness and compassion, having unwavering intention towards the Buddha and sentient beings, even if one enjoys the five desires, one is still a pure practitioner of morality, therefore it is praised that even if one is poor, one is respected. It is said, as it is said in the scriptures: If a Bodhisattva enjoys the five desires, he also takes refuge in the Buddha, Dharma, and Sangha, thinking of achieving Buddhahood.
