English

This is it. The term "son of good family or daughter of good family" refers to a person who has attained leisure and endowment. The inseparability of emptiness and compassion is the superior intention. The arising of the mind [of enlightenment] refers to the nature of aspiration. Because a specific need is shown through the power of circumstance in relation to a general meaning, it is called faith. Therefore, faith should be explained, starting with "having much joy," etc. One should also understand its agent, object, essence, and benefits. Among these, there are three agents: the agent of joy, the agent of desire, and the agent of trust. Among these, the agent of joy is like the action of a jewel and water, without any defilement of the continuum, namely, the desire to see the noble ones and the desire to hear the sacred Dharma. Not being joyful is for the sake of constant cultivation. The noble ones are those who have gone far from karma and afflictions, namely, the fully and perfectly enlightened Buddha and his Sangha. The sacred Dharma is the Dharma practiced by those individuals, hence it is the sacred Dharma. The agent of desire is being without miserliness, etc., because it focuses on obtaining and abandoning, focusing on the truth of the path, which is the cause of obtaining nirvana, and focusing on the origin, which is the cause of suffering. Because the origin, which is the cause of suffering, is abandoned, it is said to be without miserliness, since miserliness and immoral conduct, etc., are the cause of suffering. Because the truth of the path, which is the cause of nirvana, is to be obtained, it is said to be freely giving, etc., since the six perfections, such as the nature of non-attachment, are considered the path. Among these, freely giving is giving that is not connected with results, because it is dedicated to nirvana. Extending the hand means to give with respect and extensively. Rejoicing in giving means rejoicing, being joyful, and being without regret before, during, and after the giving. Making giving unceasing means accumulating resources solely through Dharma and in a non-casual way, and giving things again and again at all times. Perfect giving means offering to worthy recipients of giving. Rejoicing in widely distributing gifts.
