What are the ten wheels of a Bodhisattva? Son of the lineage, know that the ten wheels are the ten virtues. Possessing these ten wheels, one is completely liberated from all sins, all virtuous qualities are perfected, all beings are matured, all are benefited, and all happiness is attained. Why is that? Son of the lineage, all the Buddhas of the past also abandoned the ten non-virtues and praised this path of the ten virtuous actions, thus they will obtain the result. Furthermore, as long as a Bodhisattva lives, having abandoned killing, he gives fearlessness to all sentient beings. From beginningless time, the obscurations of affliction, the obscurations of Dharma, and the obscurations of life, which arise from the act of killing, are all exhausted. At the time of death, one will not see the messengers of Yama. One will meet a desirable virtuous friend who is tamed by Dharma, endowed with morality and qualities, and one will develop great faith in him. After death, one will be reborn among humans with complete faculties, perfect limbs, longevity, good looks, a gentle mind, happiness and joy, meet virtuous friends, perfect all virtuous qualities, and continue until enlightenment is attained. Son of the lineage, this is the first wheel. Son of the lineage, if one possesses this wheel, one will not fall into hell, nor will one fall into any of the bad migrations, and one should explain in detail up to the abandonment of wrong views. In the teaching of the three vows, it says: O Sustainer of Light, if one possesses three qualities, one will be like a royal Sala tree, with a beautiful form, beautiful, pleasing to the eye, with excellent color, endowed with supreme growth, without laziness, clear, and very steadfast, like this: When one sees renunciates and Brahmins, one rejoices, thinking, "These are the places of giving, the worthy of offerings, the places of reverence," and one entertains them with clothes, food, bedding, medicine for the sick, and utensils. This is the first Dharma. The other two are abandoning falsehood and taking the essence of reverence. Thus it was said. Also in that same text it says: How does one
