are the dharmas that transcend the world. Son of the lineage, the knowledge of a person who transcends the world is the ultimate truth. The knowledge of a person is the conventional truth. Thus it is said. In the Teaching of the Armored One, it is said: The nature of all dharmas is without essence, without characteristics, without aspirations, unteachable, and unspeakable; this is Suchness. Thus it is said. The knowledge of a person, in the Jewel Source, it is said: Like the tracks of birds in the sky, beings are also like that, originally without existence. Like looking at the hair of a frog, likewise, contemplate the nature of peace. The image of a face in a mirror, the wise say its nature is empty. In that mandala, the face appears, likewise, look at all the dharmas. Thus it appears. In the Teaching of Vimalakirti, it is said: What is the wisdom bound by the absence of skillful means? It is like this: to be certain and to contemplate emptiness, signlessness, and wishlessness, and not to contemplate the excellent signs and marks, the Buddha-fields, and the maturation of sentient beings; this is wisdom without skillful means, and it is bound. What is the wisdom liberated by being seized by skillful means? It is like this: to contemplate the excellent signs and marks, the adornments of the Buddha-fields, and the maturation of sentient beings, and to familiarize oneself with emptiness, signlessness, and wishlessness; this is the wisdom seized by skillful means, and it is liberated. What is the skillful means bound by not being seized by wisdom? It is that all the roots of virtue that are created are not dedicated to enlightenment; this is the skillful means not seized by wisdom, and it is bound. What is the skillful means liberated by being seized by wisdom? It is like this: having abandoned all defilements, creating all roots of virtue, dedicating them to enlightenment, and not being arrogant; this is the skillful means of a Bodhisattva seized by wisdom, and it is liberated. Thus it appears. In the Question of Ratnacuda, it is said: What is the emptiness that possesses the supreme of all aspects? It is that generosity is without lack, up to wisdom is without lack, skillful means is without lack, loving-kindness, compassion, joy, and equanimity are without lack, and the mind of enlightenment, looking upon sentient beings, is without lack, and generosity
