At the initial time, one should diligently practice the teachings for the first type of person. During the intermediate accumulation path, one should diligently practice the teachings for the intermediate type of person. The third type of person should diligently practice the teachings for the third type of person. Considering the previously mentioned habitual discipline, the Sutra of the Noble Ones and Meditation states: Following the habits of a Bodhisattva who has faith in the Mahayana, one should follow in this way: whether they walk, sit, lie down, sleep, are drunk, or not drunk, they will always have faith in the Mahayana. Even if that Bodhisattva has passed away, in future lives, due to faith in the Mahayana, even if they forget the mind of enlightenment, in those lives, they will not turn into an inferior or base mind. Even if they are robbed by evil friends, Shravakas, or Pratyekabuddhas, they will not be robbed, let alone by other heretics. For the sake of the Mahayana, even finding a small cause for faith in the Mahayana will quickly increase, and constantly for the sake of the Mahayana, they will have faith in the Mahayana. Therefore, following the habits of faith in the Mahayana will also increase in lifetime after lifetime, until reaching unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment. Thus it is said. Thus, the benefits of the mind of enlightenment are twofold: the benefits of aspiration and the benefits of engagement. The benefits of aspiration are immeasurable. In brief, it ensures that the lineage of the Three Jewels is not cut off in the world, it is the cause or seed of all white dharmas, it destroys sins, rises from falls, and eliminates all non-humans, plagues, and obstacles, and so on. The Sutra of the Noble One, Gathering All Virtuous Roots, states: Sharadvati's son, the accumulation of merit from the initial generation of the mind is not small or insignificant. Thus, even with a hundred kalpas, a thousand kalpas, or a hundred thousand kalpas, it cannot be expressed. How can one know the measure of the merit of the Bodhisattvas' generation of the mind? Thus it is said. The Eight Thousand Verse Prajnaparamita Sutra also states: Someone with characteristics, with kalpas of the Ganges' sand,

It is said that generating the mind of enlightenment for a day, half a day, or even the time it takes to snap one's fingers is more meritorious than accumulating roots of virtue for countless eons. The Bodhicharyavatara also states: "The moment the mind of enlightenment is generated, in an instant, those miserable beings bound in the prison of samsara will be called the children of the Sugatas and will be worshiped by gods and humans of the world. Like the supreme elixir that transforms into gold, taking this impure body and transforming it into the body of a Buddha, transforming it with priceless jewels, therefore, hold this precious mind of enlightenment well and firmly." And so on. The benefits of entering, the Bodhicharyavatara states: "From the mind of aspiring to enlightenment, great fruits arise in samsara, but not like the mind of entering, which continuously produces merit." It also says: "From now on, even if one falls asleep or becomes heedless, the power of merit will not cease, but will be as vast as the sky." Thus it is said. The bodhisattva grounds and so on, should be examined in detail in the sutras. The Buddhas and Bodhisattvas have no other activities than liberating sentient beings from samsara. The noble Nagarjuna said: "Accomplishing the benefit of others is considered the main fruit. Pleasing the Buddhas and so on, those are considered the meaning of the fruit." Thus it is said. Therefore, the Buddha's body, wisdom, qualities, and activities are all accomplished solely through accomplishing the benefit of others. For example, the Bhagavan Shakyamuni also attained enlightenment as the Tathagata, Arhat, Samyaksambuddha, named Power Pinnacle Buddha, beyond countless eons ago. And it is still the same now. The noble Avalokiteshvara also attained complete enlightenment as the Tathagata, Arhat, Samyaksambuddha, named Dharma Banner Buddha, beyond countless eons ago. Now, in Sukhavati, when the Bhagavan Amitabha passes into nirvana at night, Avalokiteshvara will attain enlightenment in the morning. Furthermore, the venerable Vajrapani also, in the past, one...
