Just as beyond ninety-two times the number of sands in the Ganges River, the Tathagata named Wisdom Lamp, after becoming a Buddha, said: Now, after this very fortunate eon, the Tathagata Vajra Force will also descend into the world and become a Buddha. Thus, samsara has no beginning or end, so the noble Manjushri also has no beginning, and is the first Buddha. He is the wisdom of the mind of all the Buddhas of the three times without exception. All Buddhas gather in the six realms. In the heart of the six realms, Vajra Sharp and other wisdom heroes enter, as well as Manjuvajra Samantabhadra, the lord of the deities of the glorious Guhyasamaja Tantra, and the lord of the Manjushri Yamantaka wheel, and the glorious Vajrabhairava Heruka appears, and the lord of the wheel of deities of the explanatory tantra Abhidhana of the glorious Chakrasamvara, and Simhanada, and Kumuda, and Good Youth, and Manjushri Speech Bestowing Youth, etc., appear according to the inclinations of the beings to be tamed. Now he will also become a Buddha in the east, as it is said in the "Manjushri Pure Land Arrangement Sutra." Because the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas do not abandon sentient beings, until samsara is not empty, the activities of body, speech, and mind, as well as the twenty-seven activities, and the thirty-five activities, and the three great miracles, etc., constantly lead beings from samsara, but the sentient beings of samsara will not be exhausted, because samsara has no beginning or end. In order to clarify this meaning, the noble Avalokiteshvara vowed to liberate sentient beings from samsara, and when he gazed upon the realm of sentient beings, at the moment of sighing, the Bhagavan Amitabha Buddha resided on his head. All the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, for the sake of all sentient beings, endured immeasurable hardships, such as the Bhagavan Shakyamuni Buddha also practiced giving, great giving, and extremely giving generosity, as well as discipline, patience, diligence, and meditation, etc., in the three lifetimes of countless eons, doing difficult deeds for sentient beings.

Therefore, it is for the sake of taking birth countless times. As it is said in the Sutra of the Salty Water River: "Wives and children, the great power of kingship, as well as flesh and blood, fat, body, and eyes, I will give them away for the joy of others. Whatever benefits sentient beings is the best offering to me. Whatever harms sentient beings is the greatest harm to me." And so on, eleven shlokas were spoken. Now, in this Jambudvipa, there is the founding by the master Nagarjuna, the opening of the eyes by the master Aryadeva, the giving of his body to a tigress by the master Matrcitra Asvaghosa, and my guru, the great Brahmin Jetari, having defeated the enemy, broke his leg and gave it to a tigress, and at that very moment he passed away. Those noble beings cultivated the mind of bodhicitta, moistening their beings with love and compassion. The excellent Bodhisattva generates pure bodhicitta on the path of application. As it is said in the Bodhisattva-bhumi: "On the ground of adhimukti-carya, bodhicitta is generated by merely pointing out one root of virtue." Therefore, Bodhisattvas are those who cherish others, so one should cultivate bodhicitta by exchanging self and others. When I was previously dwelling in the forest of Somapuri, Lokanatha (Avalokiteshvara) personally appeared and said, "Son of lineage, you will quickly become enlightened, and if you wish to benefit others, cultivate bodhicitta and strive diligently to increase it." Having said this, he disappeared. Also, while circumambulating the Vajrasana (Bodh Gaya), the venerable Tara and the venerable Bhrikuti (Wrathful Lokeshvara) both said, "If you wish to quickly become enlightened, you should strive to cultivate bodhicitta." Also, while dwelling at Vajrasana, a voice came from the window: "Bhadanta, if you wish to cultivate bodhicitta, familiarize yourself with love and compassion." Also, the venerable Serlingpa said, "O long-lived one, cultivate the bodhicitta that arises from love and compassion! If you do not cultivate it, you will not achieve accomplishment like the yogi of Bengal." Bodhicitta is the root, the cause, and the seed of all the Dharma of the Great Vehicle.
