How can it be reasonable to say that severance is in accordance with the decisive aspect arising from meditation with outflows? The noble one said that all of all habitual tendencies are those habitual tendencies encompassed by ignorance and the outflows of views, but not those encompassed by the outflows of desire and existence, because Bodhisattvas deliberately take rebirth. This indicates that here it is the manifestation of the stream of habitual tendencies. Therefore, in the case of omniscience itself, Bodhisattvas in the middle forbearance do not generate a mind associated with desire for it, as explained by the noble ones such as the father. In order not to generate a mind associated with all defilements, one obtains complete purity of body and so on. If the peaceful source of jewels transforms everything, then abandoning the stream of habitual anger in that way is said to be abandoning all habitual tendencies. That is, habitual tendencies will disappear, etc., which is the teaching of the Blessed One, and it is unreasonable to say that it is different from the teaching of the noble ones. Again, the noble one said that for the sake of the state of reaching the peak, the sign of non-retrogression is a mind without deceit, because from the pure roots of virtue, the mind is free from crookedness, and because it transcends the grounds of hearers and so on, from higher to higher, body, speech, and mind are completely purified, which is the very cause of completely holding the mind. Here, "the past" refers to the manifest believer, while the realized one is said to be only the path of seeing. Therefore, it is unreasonable to think of it as a special path. Similarly, in elaborating on the signs of non-retrogression in the state of the path of seeing, it is said that in the moment of forbearance of subsequent knowledge of suffering, it is possible to fall to the grounds of hearers and so on due to being associated with subsequent knowledge, because it is the antidote to the three realms. In the state of subsequent knowledge of suffering, the Bodhisattva completely abandons obtaining detachment, because he completely holds the nature of things that are in accordance with the benefit of sentient beings. How could a great Bodhisattva abiding on the special path fall to another ground? Those on this shore...

If it is not so, how can it become a higher position? If one remains for a long time in a state without characteristics, engaging in the benefit of others can only be achieved through effort, and not like other situations. The noble hero said: The mind is extremely agitated and perverse, therefore do not breathe upon it. Like the earth, without attaining immovability, it is difficult to realize the steady, unwavering state. Thus it is said. Furthermore, the noble one said in the eighth ground of the Ten Grounds Sutra: If those Buddhas, the Bhagavat, do not allow the Bodhisattvas to enter the gates of manifest accomplishment, then at that time they will enter into Nirvana. The so-called reversion and complete Nirvana are like the Shravakas and others, like a lamp extinguished, their minds completely liberated. This is not Nirvana, because from the moment of generating Bodhicitta, they have long abandoned the minds that delight in the vehicles of the Shravakas and others. Nor is it the Nirvana of the Buddhas, because they have not abandoned what should be abandoned through meditation. However, here, taking the Lotus Sutra of the Good Dharma as the standard, just as the noble Shariputra and other great Bodhisattvas are regarded as the Nirvana of the Shravakas, so too should it be understood as the Nirvana of those with views, that is, at some point, the benefit of sentient beings will be continuously interrupted. Therefore it is said: At that time, they will enter into Nirvana, because the activities of all sentient beings will be interrupted. Similarly, there, in the eighth ground, for the moment of knowing after arising, Bodhisattvas need immeasurable qualities, otherwise, in the ninth moment, because they do not regard the realm of sentient beings, they will fall into cessation. Here too, it should be known that at some point, the continuous interruption of the benefit of sentient beings is cessation. Furthermore, the noble one said that for the stable benefit of sentient beings, one will not completely abandon it. Like this, in this state of realization, in order to avoid falling into Nirvana, one should manifestly turn towards great compassion, and understand through such a mind. There, falling into Nirvana is also only at some point, the continuous interruption for the benefit of others. Falling into a state is also the same.
