The four unobstructed paths to the path of approach, and the ten perfections of the path of the Buddha himself, totaling thirty-four; and the ten powers, the four fearlessnesses, the four analytical knowledges, the eighteen unshared qualities of a Buddha, and the suchness taught by all Buddhas; and the self-arisen wisdom that freely controls all phenomena, and the Buddha himself who manifestly and perfectly awakens to all aspects, totaling thirty-nine, which are the nature of all aspects of object and wisdom, and the nature of knowing all phenomena, and the nature of the path, and the nature of knowing all aspects. Therefore, since the paths of the Hearers and Solitary Buddhas are included within it, it is the nature of all paths. It is the nature of worldly and transworldly qualities such as the dharanis and superknowledges of Hearers, Solitary Buddhas, Bodhisattvas, and Perfect Buddhas. Whatever little wisdom or samadhi exists in the minds of beings from Brahma and so on up to the cowherd, which becomes a means of benefiting others, all of that is included in this, because it is the nature of all means. However, these dharmas such as mirror-like wisdom, the yoga of sequentially generating twenty-two types of bodhicitta, differ due to the distinctions such as acting only for some bodhicitta generators, so they are distinguished only for some. It is not all for all. Thus, for the time being, when a Bodhisattva is in a state of equipoise, the nature of the yoga of the nature of non-conceptual wisdom and skillful means, just as the differences in states differ, the protectors also distinguish the nature of the dharma that is spoken of as appropriate. Its signs are mostly: like a mindless person, not appearing; like sleep, not scattering; like resting from exertion, also relaxing; the mind focusing on selflessness; the eyes becoming rigid; the head drooping; the mind and mental factors not moving; and the emptiness of seeing emptiness. When one arises from that yoga, even in the state of non-absorption, one cultivates only suchness with faith.

This should be done. As it is said: Who are those who are completely secluded? Their minds are unwavering. They have crossed the terrifying ocean of existence, where the snakes of affliction are entangled. Thus it is said. It is also said in the dharani for entering non-conceptualization: Bodhisattvas, abiding in the realm of non-conceptualization, see all the dharmas of knowledge and non-conceptual wisdom, which are indistinguishable, as being like the expanse of the sky. Having attained this result, they see everything as being like illusions, mirages, dreams, optical illusions, echoes, reflections, emanations. Thereafter, they attain a mind that abides in great bliss and vastness. The great, perfect mind is vastness itself, and so are great wisdom and vast wisdom. Therefore, even when bodhisattvas are demonstrating skillful means, they are not mistaken. From transcendent wisdom, actions arise, and when entering into meditation, they meditate like an illusion, truly understanding the suchness of things, without clinging to appearances, and only correct view arises. This is the path of the union of skillful means and wisdom. This alone is the supreme practice of the great mantra, the unsurpassed learning. As it is said in the verses of the Bhagavati Mother, the Jewel Heap of Qualities: The wisdom of the Victorious Ones, the Perfection of Wisdom, is the great mantra, It pacifies the suffering and misery of the many realms of sentient beings. Those who have passed away and those who are the lords of the ten directions of the world, By learning this mantra, they become the unsurpassed kings of Dharma. Whoever speaks of this, the Buddhas' dharmas are inconceivable, Power and miraculous feet, enlightenment and peace are inconceivable. Non-conceptual, free from thought, acting through the power of blessings, This is the Perfection of Wisdom, the supreme conduct. As many sentient beings as there are in this Jambudvipa, May all of them generate the supreme mind of enlightenment, And having given charity for billions of years, May they all dedicate it to enlightenment for the sake of beings. Whoever is diligently striving in the Perfection of Wisdom, Even if they act in accordance with it for just one day, The accumulation of merit from their charity cannot withstand the rain of merit. Therefore, do not be negligent.
