Extremely clear awareness arises in each case. Because they see those things as if they were in front of them, they engage in various activities such as bodily actions. Therefore, as it is said, it is possible that some who meditate on that very reality will also have a very clear awareness arise in them. That awareness that appears clearly is only without conceptualization. Because when disturbed by conceptualization, the aspect of clarity does not arise. This has been extensively explained in the Pramāṇavārttika and other texts. Teachers have also distinguished two types of direct perception: that of yogis and that of others. Among them, the direct perception of others is not said to be non-erroneous in terms of ultimate truth. Otherwise, everyone would become a yogi, and it would not be possible to see the near shore. In conventional truth, just as in dreams and the like, it is only said to be non-erroneous when it does not deceive with respect to how things appear. The direct perception of yogis such as Śrāvakas, however, is only because they are engaged in directly realizing the selflessness of the individual. Therefore, for them, non-deception is direct perception, but it is not the object of all aspects of suchness. Because only the direct perception of the Blessed Ones is the object of all aspects of suchness. In reality, only that non-deception does not err with respect to all aspects of suchness. Therefore, the Buddha, the Blessed One, fully knows all phenomena as without characteristics. The wisdom of the omniscience of all aspects is also not an entity, because it is also included within all phenomena. Therefore, they attain complete enlightenment through that absence of characteristics. As it is said in the hundred thousand-verse Prajñāpāramitā, the wisdom of omniscience of all aspects is the characteristic of direct perception, and the Tathāgata attains complete enlightenment through that absence of characteristics. Furthermore, for the meaning of the object of conventional direct perception, even for things that appear falsely, such as dreams,

The imputation on the nature of the ultimate truth, etc., can be refuted by inference. If that is refuted, then it will be established that all phenomena are without self-nature in the ultimate truth. The meaning established by refuting it is also only what the Blessed One himself declared as the measure of inference. As the Dragon King Anavatapta asked: "Whatever is born from conditions, that is unborn. Its birth is not from its own nature. Whatever is dominated by conditions, that is said to be emptiness. Whoever knows emptiness is the one who is mindful." So it is said. Also in the "Teaching to Sagaramati Sutra": "Whatever arises dependently, those have no self-nature at all. Whatever is without self-nature, those do not arise anywhere." So it is said. Similarly, for example, in a mirror, an image appears that is neither one nor different. Although it appears, it is not real. The self-nature of things is also like that. So it is said. The Noble One also said in the Madhyamaka treatises: "Whatever is dependent arising, those are said to be emptiness. That is dependently designated, that itself is the Middle Way." So it is said. The teacher also said: "If one analyzes things, then in that place, that thing does not exist. Because for those, there is no nature of one and many." So it is said. These reasons for dependent arising being devoid of the nature of one and many. Whatever is dependent arising is empty of self-nature in the ultimate truth, like an illusion. All phenomena are also dependent arising. Whatever is devoid of the nature of one and many in the ultimate truth is without self-nature, like an image. All phenomena are also devoid of the nature of one and many in the ultimate truth. The doctrines of the two combinations are not understood by those who do not understand the activity of speculation, so it is feared that they will not listen, so it is not explained in detail here. In brief, I have excellently explained it in the "Middle Way Stalk". From that, the wise should understand. If it is also said that this inference only obtains its connection from perception in name, and thus becomes established, but like fire born from rubbing two pieces of wood, it harms perception itself, harming the very nature. But for us, there is nothing undesirable.
