Because they appear separately. Thus, for those who have deluded consciousness regarding magical men and so on, what is established as the nature is that, likewise for all things, what is imputed by consciousness with a false appearance is termed conventional truth. For magical men and so on, only for them, what is established as the nature by those whose consciousness is not corrupted, likewise for all things, what is determined as the nature by a valid measure is the ultimate truth. How, the nature established by deluded and non-deluded consciousness, relying on the two truths, conventional and ultimate, such as the hair streaks and so on that are closely perceived by those with cataracts and so on, and the two aspects of the apprehended and the apprehender spoken of by the Mind-Only school, existing in the conventional and not existing in the ultimate, and so on, for the difference of establishment, there is no contradiction, likewise for all things. Therefore, the conventional deluded nature as mentioned before, things are actually unborn, but from there things appear to arise, therefore, relying on that power, in the conventional it is said that things arise, but in the ultimate they are unborn. Because it is the object of non-perverted meaning, all the consciousness arising from correct hearing, thinking, and meditation is only ultimate, that is, it is said that this is the meaning of the noble. What is done directly and indirectly is the difference, relying on that power, all these things are understood to be only unborn. The correct consciousness says that it is impossible for these to be established as born. Also, non-discrimination is conventional, thus, the wisdom arising from thinking, that nature is non-perverted, arising from the power of the valid measure that is determined to enter the mind, and likewise, what arises from meditation is also, the meaning of that nature is directly distinguished, or it is said to be distinguished by the sameness of its cause. What turns its back on the meaning of that nature is said to be false discrimination. What turns its back on the meaning of that nature, false appearance closely grasping.

Therefore, all such knowledge is unexamined because it contradicts that. It is not non-conceptual wisdom, nor is it merely the absence of examination. Therefore, since it is the nature of being widely known, all natures of false things are only conventional truths. Alternatively, conventional truth is the fame of the world, because all meanings that are famous in the world are considered to be conventional truths. All things are also not the objects of all senses, because some people only see some things. Therefore, all the separate determinations of the establishment of extremely hidden actions and results, etc., are only the wisdom of omniscience. Others are even more than the knowledge of one. Some treatise writers go beyond fame and say that whatever is closely examined into the nature of analyzing things, etc., exists in the inverted conventional truth, because it does not even exist in fame. Whatever follows fame and examines in detail, for example, "This is without self or sentient beings, these dharmas all have causes," such is said to exist in the accurate conventional truth. Therefore, even if treatise writers attach many natures to one thing, it will not lead to things becoming mutually contradictory natures. Or, the meaning of illusion is the meaning of conventional truth, the meaning of non-truth is the meaning of illusion. Although the meaning of illusion is the nature of confused knowledge, it is also not that knowledge becomes the thing itself, because it appears to hold the false aspect, and the natures of truth and falsehood also contradict each other. Therefore, the nature of falsehood will also become truth, so knowledge will not become confusion itself, nor will it become various natures, because there is no contradiction in nature for one. The nature of non-truth is also false, so although it is confusion itself, knowledge will not become truth, because all those selves have no mutual difference, and it is impossible for one to have parts and things with parts. Therefore, knowledge is also false, so from the inner way of the knowable...
