When they ate the fruits that grew without being plowed or sown, the passages for urine and feces appeared, along with the male and female reproductive organs, and their shapes also became different. Due to the influence of past habits, improper thoughts arose in their minds, leading to great desire and greed, and thus they went astray. Due to laziness and other reasons, they stopped working, and when attachment arose, the harvested rice no longer grew. At that time, people divided the fields, became attached to their own fields, and stole the fields of others. Then, for the purpose of protection, a special person appeared, and people paid him one-sixth of their harvest. Because he was the owner of the fields, he was called the "Royal Caste," a name that matched his role. Because he was respected by the masses and made the people happy, he was called "Respected by the Masses" and "King." Those whose minds turned away from household affairs were called "Brahmins." Whichever king punished thieves with penalties, the thieves would lie, saying that they had not done such a thing. In this way, the world gradually formed, and people's lifespans were originally immeasurable. As the paths of karma increased, lifespans gradually shortened. Eventually, when lifespans were only ten years, due to being unrighteous, being overwhelmed by unbearable desire, and being entangled by perverse teachings, hatred reached its peak, and trees and the like became weapons. These people killed each other with weapons in order to kill other sentient beings, which lasted for seven days. Afterwards, due to the same faults, non-humans spread plagues, causing people to die from diseases, and the plagues lasted for seven months and seven days. Afterwards, due to the same faults, it no longer rained, and famine occurred, and people hid and died from hunger and weakness. Others boiled and drank white bone broth, and used the tips of spoons to create chaos in houses, saying, "Today we eat this householder, tomorrow we eat that householder's wife," and so on. And, they scooped grain from the holes in the granaries with spoons, and boiled the small amount of grain in a lot of water and drank it. The famine lasted for years, months, and seven days.

At that time, in the two continents, there will be no excessive malice, nor ugly colors and weakness, hunger and thirst, etc. This is called the first intermediate kalpa in which beings abide. From those with a lifespan of ten years, they gradually increase until the lifespan reaches eighty thousand years, and then decrease again to a lifespan of ten years, this is called the second intermediate kalpa. Likewise, up to the eighteenth. The twentieth only increases, without decreasing, from a lifespan of ten years up to eighty thousand years. The time of increase and decrease of the other intermediate kalpas is the same as the time of decrease of the first kalpa and the last time of increase, so all times are equal. Among these, one intermediate kalpa forms the outer vessel world. Nineteen intermediate kalpas cause beings to abide. Once the world is formed, it abides for twenty intermediate kalpas. One intermediate kalpa destroys the outer vessel, and nineteen intermediate kalpas become empty. The destruction of the world abides for twenty intermediate kalpas. Thus, eighty intermediate kalpas are one great kalpa, the Good Kalpa, etc., are the nature of the five aggregates. Some kalpas are not like this, because of the power of aspiration and virtuous roots, they are very long. For example, the Star Kalpa, from its period of decline, has the measure of the intermediate kalpa as spoken of, with twenty thousand intermediate kalpas. In this way, the great kalpas such as the Good Kalpa reach sixty numerical positions, which are called countless. Then repeat the recitation and count again, and in this way it is called three countless. In such three countless kalpas, a Buddha will appear. In this way, the first countless kalpa begins with the accumulation of merit and completes up to the first ground. The second countless kalpa is the six grounds, such as the Immaculate Ground. The third countless kalpa begins with the Immovable Ground and goes up to the Buddha Ground, as it says in the sutra. Others say that because the three are similar in Dharma, they are called three countless kalpas, but in reality it is not so. In this way, one countless kalpa is needed to perfect the accumulation of merit. After that,
