Understanding its meaning is because it conforms to the actions of speech and the Dharma. Thus, the Blessed One, dreams are false speech, this explanation by Buddha Wisdom Feet is: it is similar to that which is not of true meaning. Divisive speech means, regarding others who are associating or those who have formed grudges, for the purpose of division or discord, with an afflicted mind thinking: I will divide these or make them discordant, speaking words of discord. The five branches are: division, recognizing this, wanting to divide, making connections, and speaking divisive words. If the person being spoken to understands that meaning based on what was said. Otherwise, it is just empty talk, because it is afflicted. A person with a beneficial intention, with the intention of separating from bad friends, does not consider it divisive speech, because there is no afflicted mind. Harsh speech means, with an afflicted mind, speaking unpleasant words to others, revealing secrets or pointing out faults. The five branches are: one who should be scolded, recognizing this, inner anger, making connections, and speaking unpleasant words, if the other person understands. Otherwise, it is just empty talk, because it is afflicted. Idle talk means, other than the three actions of false speech and so on, any afflicted speech. Corresponding to desire, or corresponding to illegality, or corresponding to meaninglessness, or songs corresponding to children's talk, gatherings, sadness, village customs, and so on. As well as speech of attachment to singing and dancing and bad treatises and so on. All of these are actions of speech. The five branches are: meaning corresponding to meaninglessness and so on, recognizing this, and the afflicted mind itself. Making connections, and speaking unrelated words. These three paths of action can also be done by the body, just like false speech, this is what the scholar Chandrakirti said. Thus, the four paths of action of speech. Covetousness is: Alas, if those things that belong to others would become mine, this is the definite clinging to the possessions and enjoyments of others, or to women. The five branches are the possessions of others and

To recognize it, and to think and cling to it, to thoroughly engage and ascertain clinging. Harmful intent is to harbor hatred towards other sentient beings, thinking that these sentient beings should be harmed, engaging in a harmful manner, its five branches are: the object to be hated, the recognition of this object, mental disturbance, strong clinging to hatred, and hatred itself. Wrong view is the view that slanders cause and effect, actions, and existing entities. Its five branches are: the object to be slandered, the recognition of this object, the desire to slander, correctly clinging to slander, and the act of slandering. Here, "view" refers to wisdom with afflictions, which can completely sever the roots of virtue and engage in non-virtue, but not engage in virtue. Whatever is different from this, such as wrong views characterized by viewing other vehicles, etc., all of these are wrong conceptualizations, they will not sever the roots of virtue. The above are the three paths of mental action. Some say that these three should be understood only from the difference of intention, while harmful intent should also be understood from the difference of the object. Each of these ten non-virtuous actions is closely combined with desire, hatred, and ignorance. Because killing arises from ignorance, for example, those who perform sacrifices in the name of religion kill livestock, kings kill cruel people, Mongols and Persians kill parents, similarly, there are those who leave people without food, kill monks, and some kill snakes and animals on mountains, etc. Snakes, scorpions, mosquitoes, etc., that harm people should be killed. Game, livestock, birds, and fish, etc., are all for the purpose of enjoyment, all these actions motivated by wrong views are combinations arising from ignorance. Similarly, for taking what is not given, here the combination arising from ignorance is that kings, in the name of religion, conquer cruel lands, and Brahmins also say that all these are offered to Brahma and Brahmins, and the people are impoverished because of this, so the Brahmins taking is their own taking. These people say.
