It is like a subtle fragrance that remains even more after being thoroughly infused with fine scents. Among them, the habitual tendencies of ignorance are obstacles that completely cut off knowable objects. The habitual tendencies of desire and so on are also the cause of differences in the behavior of body and speech. For example, like an Arhat who previously became a monkey and walked by jumping, and like someone who was previously a Brahmin and was called a foolish woman. All of these also disappear in the Tathagata. Therefore, the one who has completely destroyed the habitual tendencies of afflictions is called Bhagavan. Great compassion is the thought of benefiting others, by which the Bhagavan observes the world six times in every moment, such as who declines and who increases. Omniscience is the knowledge of the nature, differences, characteristics, and ultimate classifications of all dharmas. The ten powers are the power of knowing what is possible and impossible, the power of knowing the maturation of karma, the power of knowing various realms, the power of knowing various aspirations, the power of knowing the superior and inferior faculties, the power of knowing the path to all destinations, the power of knowing the defilement, purification, and arising of meditative absorptions, liberations, and samadhis, the power of knowing the recollection of past lives, the power of knowing death and birth, and the power of knowing the exhaustion of defilements. The characteristics of these are as stated in the sutras. Among them, existence and non-existence are possibilities and impossibilities. Cause is also a possibility. For example, what is possible is also possible, and what is impossible is also impossible, completely knowing. The undesirable result of negative actions is a possibility. Desire is an impossibility. The desire of virtuous actions is a possibility. Undesirability is an impossibility. Stinginess leading to poverty is a possibility. Possessing great wealth is an impossibility. Generosity leading to possessing great wealth is a possibility. Poverty is an impossibility. Killing one's mother, killing one's father, killing an Arhat, causing dissension in the Sangha, and drawing blood from the Tathagata with malicious intent.

Having the nature of committing the five inexpiable sins, and defiling by engaging in impure conduct with one's mother and an Arhat woman, and killing a Bodhisattva who abides in certainty, and a learner, and robbing the entrance to the assembly of the Sangha, and destroying a stupa, these are non-places for the mind to abide in committing the five inexpiable sins and the near five inexpiable sins. Thoroughly cultivating the mind abiding in regret is a non-place. Becoming a universal monarch and Brahma, etc., with the very body of a woman is a non-place. All that is contrary to this is a place. Knowing such places and non-places, with pure, unattached, and unobstructed wisdom. Speech is the truth as it is, which is non-reversed. Because of desiring what has become what, it is unattached. Because of what kind and what manner it has become, it is unobstructed because of knowing all manners. That knowledge itself is power, because it is extremely difficult to be overcome by others, and because it is extremely able to subdue others. Action is merit and non-merit, and immovability, etc. Merit that is equally associated with form and formlessness is immovability. In some places, virtue that is equally associated with all three realms is also established as merit. Vipāka is happiness and suffering, etc. Diverse realms are the meditations that generate merit and non-merit and immovability, etc. Among diverse aspirations, here aspiration is desire, such as one who abides in desire also desires anger, one who abides in anger also desires desire, in inferior application one desires great application, in great application one desires inferior application. The faculties are faith, diligence, mindfulness, concentration, and wisdom. Their excellence and non-excellence, inferior, middling, and superior, this is an inferior faculty, this is a middling faculty, etc. The path that goes everywhere, that is, here the Bodhisattva also knows the true nature of the realm of beings as definite and indefinite, and also knows the path that accords with them, and is also able to proclaim it.
