Because of being in that state, one can answer all questions. The four kinds of complete purification are: complete purification of the basis, complete purification of the object, complete purification of the mind, and complete purification of the wisdom. Among them, completely separating all the habitual tendencies and faults of the afflictive emotions from the basis, and being able to control one's own self- entity, as well as acceptance, abiding, and transference, as one wishes, this is the complete purification of the basis in all aspects. Being able to control all the manifestations and complete transformations of all objects, as well as numbers, this is the complete purification of the object in all aspects. As before, the mind is free from all faults, and accumulating all the roots of virtue in the mind, this is also the complete purification of the mind in all aspects. As before, being free from all the faults of the side of ignorance, and controlling the wisdom of all knowable things, this is the complete purification of wisdom in all aspects. The ten powers are the antidotes to the ten near harms, which are: death, all afflictions, miserliness, misconduct, evil destinies, fatigue from seeking, karmic obscurations caused by lack of Dharma, obstacles of desire, fear, and how to speak. Among them, the power over life is the ability to live and extend life as one wishes, such as blessing the length of life in inexpressible (Tibetan: བརྗོད་དུ་མེད་པ།) eons, and so on. The power over the mind is the ability to enter into and arise from meditative absorption, samadhi, and equanimity, etc., as one wishes. The power over resources is the ability to make benefits come near individually as one wishes, such as truly showing the blessing of adorning all the worlds' lands with various ornaments, and so on. The power over action is the ability to accomplish the benefit of body and speech as one wishes, and to truly show the blessing of the ripening of karma at the appropriate time. The power over birth is the ability to be born as one wishes in all places of birth.

The mastery over magical abilities is like manifesting miraculous powers as desired, and universally displaying various transformations in all Buddha-fields, and so on. The mastery over aspirations is because all aspirations are perfectly fulfilled. The mastery over faith is that whatever one believes, it becomes exactly as one believes. For example, perfectly demonstrating that all realms are completely filled with Buddhas, and so on. The mastery over wisdom is that whatever one desires to know, one knows. For example, truly demonstrating the ten powers, the four fearlessnesses, the unique qualities of a Buddha, the thirty-two major marks and eighty minor marks, and the perfect attainment of enlightenment. The mastery over Dharma is being skilled in the various establishments of Dharma, such as the sutras. The three kinds of non-protection are that the Tathagata's bodily conduct is completely pure. The Tathagata does not have the slightest concern that he needs to hide or conceal any impure bodily conduct from others. This is the first non-protection. Similarly, speech activity is the second. Similarly, mental activity is the third. The three kinds of mindfulness are as it is said in the sutra: When the Tathagata teaches the Dharma, some beings listen respectfully, lend an ear, abide with focused minds, and practice the Dharma in accordance with the teachings. The Tathagata is not pleased by this, nor does he feel comfortable, nor does he consider himself superior. And when other beings do not listen respectfully, do not lend an ear, and so on, the Tathagata is not angered by this, nor does he become intolerant, nor does he consider himself inferior, nor is he displeased. Some beings listen respectfully, and some beings do not listen respectfully. The Tathagata does not differentiate between these two, nor does he differentiate between pleasure and displeasure. At all times and places, he abides in equanimity, possessing mindfulness and awareness. The nature of not forgetting is because one does not miss the appropriate time to benefit sentient beings. Completely destroying habitual tendencies means that even though afflictions have subsided, one's conduct is no different from those who have not abandoned afflictions. This is the habitual tendency of afflictions. For example, even though sesame flowers and the like have been removed, they still leave their mark on pots and cloths, and so on.
