Having done that, by the power of its near manifestation, in order to generate the noble path, and by emitting rays of light, etc., making suffering near to pacification, and remembering the roots of past virtues, in order to greatly delight the happy realms. The three miracles also perform as they are. Among them, abiding by conduct is all the work of the body. Abiding by teaching is all the work of speech. Abiding by samadhi is whatever is naturally quiescent, and whatever also inclines towards samadhi, these two are the work of mind. Abiding by absorption is whatever the Buddha's eye sees sentient beings, and also when transferring from gods, etc., both of these are the work of mind. Showing in all births is that the Tathagatas, in all world realms, simultaneously show the birth in all birth places. Showing all the ripening of karma is truly showing the movement of karma, in order to truly enjoy the desirable and undesirable fruits of karma. Because experiencing happiness and suffering with the body is the result of past karma, arising with the support of the body of karma. The body emanated by past karma is the body of karma. Only the wisdom of accomplishing actions is the body of the karma of the emanator, because it is the cause of generating the consciousness of appearing separately. Thus, showing the limits of arising and behavior, and saving all births, etc. All of these are also shown as the emanation body, for example, like showing touching the tip of the thumb, etc. The Tathagatas are those with the body of vajra essence, those with the nature of no near change, because even bodhisattvas, with eighty kotis nayutas of attendants of the lord of desire realm, with fierce effort, with the differences of approaching and striking with various weapons, even the damage of a single hair standing up does not arise, let alone other damages? Even when they perfectly attain enlightenment, only Lalladeva committed evil deeds by name alone.

How is this so? Therefore, all of this is for the purpose of taming beings, as it shows the shared fate with beings in engaging in and turning away from virtuous and non-virtuous actions. Showing asceticism is also for this purpose, as showing it in this way teaches those who need to be tamed that they cannot be purified merely by asceticism and discipline, but only by wisdom. Furthermore, it is also to emphasize that Bodhi is extremely difficult to attain, hence the saying, "How can a bald-headed practitioner have the fruit of Bodhi?" The purpose of this statement is to prevent verbal misconduct. Emanations of body and speech are sometimes related to one's own and others' bodies, and sometimes not. Emanations of mind, however, are only related to oneself and others. Among these, emanations of body related to one's own body include showing oneself as a Chakravartin king, etc. Because they possess inconceivable skillful means, the activities of body and speech of the Buddhas, Bhagavat, Bodhisattvas, and Shravakas should be understood from how they follow the world. For example, in Shravasti, King Kapina For the purpose of taming, our Bhagavat manifested as a Chakravartin king, holding jewels and a bow. In the same occasion, all the great Shravakas also held various ornaments that prevented ordination, appearing as minor kings, etc. Until Kapina and his eighteen thousand attendants, including ministers, were all fully ordained and established in the state of Arhat. Also, in Shravasti, when taming the Brahmin boy, the Bhagavat appeared as Brahma with four faces, wearing a headdress of matted hair. In Rajagriha, sixty people were established in the fruits of heaven and Bodhi. When taming the Brahmin woman of the righteous lineage, in Shravasti, the Bhagavat held the corpse of a woman and said, "This is my wife." Furthermore, for the purpose of taming the Kosala dancer, in Duyu Markarkota Balli, the Bhagavat appeared as a dancer.

And it is said to uphold the rules. In order to tame the fifth Gandharva Topknot, the Blessed One, appearing as an ordinary Gandharva, held a lute and sang. When the strings of the lute broke, it was as if thousands of sounds arose from the sky. Similarly, it is said that in order to tame those who violate the monastic vows, one can also act in the form of an ordinary householder. As it is said in the praise: Although abiding in the utmost peace, Yet driven by compassion, Even in the arts of musicians, You have placed your feet. Musicians are those who play for entertainment, and their arts are skills, such as playing the lute. This is also to go for the sake of activity. It is also said in the teachings of the Vinaya: From the time of Dipankara, The Thus-gone One is free from desire, Called the son who holds sound, This is to follow the world. That is, to show various miracles. Bodhisattvas also show untrue prostrations and other improper actions, even showing the appearance of a lowly servant. Therefore, the actions of the Buddhas, Blessed Ones, Bodhisattvas, and Shravakas are inconceivable. Those who desire liberation should only have faith in this. Furthermore, sometimes they go to the place that suits the beings to be tamed, sometimes they lead the beings to be tamed to their own place, and sometimes from the body in which they dwell, they truly show the body and so on in all directions in the immeasurable realms of the world. The Blessed One, having obtained the power to separately realize all powers, can therefore enter into the mandala of the atoms of the body and so on, and as desired, make beings separate from untrue delusions. For example, in the Pippala forest, lions, robbers, Ishvara, Indra, Shri Devi, mountain gods, youths, and so on, as well as gods, nagas, yakshas, rakshasas, gandharvas, asuras, garudas, kinnaras, and so on, hundreds and thousands of beings attained nirvana.
