It is like a similar ornament made by a skilled craftsman to increase (merit). If so, then when taking other vows separately, refuge should also be taken separately. If someone asks, "Are these (refuges) the gateway to taking other vows?" The answer is yes, no one would object. Another view is that merely promising refuge is the purpose itself, so even if there is no difference until enlightenment, it should be taken, because the promise has been fulfilled. Therefore, for those who are beginning to enter the taking of vows, there is no difference between the initial promise and the subsequent promise, and by this alone, it has become the actual object of the gateway to taking vows separately, so taking refuge again is meaningless. Refuge itself can be named separately in meaning. Even if the later vows are abandoned, the previous vows will not be abandoned, because refuge still exists, and the vows are different. Otherwise, merely abandoning the later vows would lead to abandoning all the vows. This is very useful for many things that need to be abandoned. Thus, speaking in order, the Bodhisattva Having generated the mind of enlightenment, with the nature of irreversible discipline, firmly abides in the discipline of protection, and further abides in the discipline of accumulating good dharmas and the discipline of benefiting sentient beings, as well as listening, thinking, and so on, and perfectly practices the perfections such as generosity. In order to accumulate the two accumulations, one should strive to become accustomed to not clinging to the three spheres. Among them, virtue comes from nature, association, accordance, supplication, obtained by birth, supreme wealth, combination, benefit, complete acceptance, guidance, antidote, peaceful harmony, and causes. Among them, the virtues arising from nature are: faith, diligence, mindfulness, samadhi, wisdom, shame, modesty, non-attachment, non-hatred, nine in total. Non-ignorance is wisdom itself. Caution, extreme gentleness, equanimity, and non-harm are mental dharmas. Equanimity is when the mind naturally

It is accomplishment itself. In terms of relationship, it refers to those that are similar to it. In terms of subsequent relationship, it refers to the habitual tendencies of those very things. In terms of begging, it refers to the actions of body and speech that are completely aroused by it. In terms of obtaining through birth, these virtuous dharmas themselves, relying on previous familiarization, their nature matures and is accomplished, whereby, for those who do not separately examine them, the desire abides everywhere. In terms of ultimate truth, it is suchness. In terms of association, it is relying on a noble person, listening to the noble Dharma, properly applying the mind, and practicing the Dharma that is in accordance with the Dharma. In terms of benefiting, it refers to the virtue of subduing sentient beings with the four objects of gathering. In terms of completely holding, it is completely holding wealth and high birth that arise from generosity, or that arise from ethics, or that arise from meditation, or completely holding birth in higher realms, or completely holding that which is in accordance with purification. Making in front is making the Tathagata or stupa or statue in front, or making the Dharma or the basis of the Dharma, the individual or the scripture in front, and making offerings. In terms of antidote, it refers to whatever refutes is an antidote, and whatever suppresses is an antidote, and whatever distances is an antidote, and the antidote to the obscuration of afflictions and the antidote to the obscuration of knowledge. In terms of near pacification, it refers to abandoning attachment by relying on it. In terms of the cause in common, it refers to the common and uncommon knowledge of the world and beyond the world that arise from it, and so on. Here, regarding what is said, "by the object of merit arising from generosity," etc., for this, it is 'maya' (藏文音译,梵文:maya) of cause. Having the cause of generosity is born from generosity, and similarly, having the cause of ethics and meditation is born from ethics and born from meditation, just as "creatures born from food, cows born from grass." Or, it is 'maya' (藏文音译,梵文:maya) of nature, the merit of the nature of generosity is the nature of generosity, and similarly, the nature of ethics and the nature of meditation, just like "a vessel of the nature of clay." What is the meaning of merit?
