Thus abiding is Buddhahood. These are all spoken by the Buddhas. Speaking and causing to speak are also the same. Why? Because the mind is the seven grounds of beings. Here, the absence of appearance is the eighth ground. The two grounds abide here. The remaining grounds are great self-mastery. Thus it is said. "Spoken by the Buddhas" means as it is said, whatever Dharma is spoken by one Tathagata, all the Buddhas speak it, without any difference. In the Noble Twenty-five Thousand Verses also, it is analyzed into five aspects of text and commentary: In the Joyful One, there is purity of higher intention. Then the seventh, as long as possible, abides in the absence of signs with effort. The eighth abides in the absence of signs, spontaneously accomplished. Then the tenth enters into the certainty of practicing liberation. Then, above that, the Bodhisattva who is held back by one birth. As it is said, higher aspiration and purity of higher intention, and practicing in the absence of signs, from the second ground to the sixth, and the sixth beyond the world, abiding in the absence of signs with interruption. The seventh abides solely in the absence of signs. From the eighth onwards, the absence of signs is spontaneously accomplished, without intentionality, because of abiding in the absence of signs, these are six aspects. Here, practicing in signs is because of being skilled in the three reasons such as calm abiding. Therefore, in the Ornament of the Sutras, even in the purity of higher intention, the fifth ground abides with effort as long as possible. The sixth and seventh are also without signs, thus striving and abiding in the absence of signs, it is only the manifestation of realization, and the five things to be accomplished are established separately. At the time of generating the mind, there are four aspects, that is, the grounds such as the Immaculate One are also the purity of higher intention, for the sake of individually understanding. If so, from the eighth onwards, it is said to be held back by one birth, but in some places, it is said to be on the tenth ground and above, why is that? How entering into practice is uncertain beforehand, but from the eighth onwards it is certain, but on the tenth ground it is ultimately certain, so it is the nature of certainty.
